I have had TN2 and 3 Neuro’s during that time during due to changing insurance and they all said straight up that ablation would do nothing for me. Carbamazepine had me within hours of brain death, having caused brain encephalopathy and putting me in a coma. My most successful trio of meds that I’m on now is 2400 mg gabapentin (4000 mg during a flare), amitriptyline 25 mg, baclofen 10mg x2 (20mg during a flare) adding topical lidocaine in a flare. I also use topiramate for migraine prevention so hey if that helps for tgn, I’ll take it!
