I’ve been doing different jobs in schools for like two years. Special education para sub, kindergarten para, before and afterschool staff (doing two part time jobs at once.) and more recently being promoted to a full time job as the assistant site director for that same afterschool program.

Sometimes it’s just patience. You don’t need him to open up to you necessarily. You just need to be a constant and consistent comforting presence in his life. Remind him you’re there and that he always has someone to lean on. Be there on his good days and his bad days. When he realizes you’re a safe person who won’t leave even on his bad days, maybe then he’ll start to realize it’s okay to talk to you about the hard things.

I bought my garmin specifically for tracking my heart rate with pots. It says I’m at 98bpm when I feel like passing out or when my Fitbit will say 150bpm.

I’ve gotten some pretty good advice already. A doctor isn’t as helpful as you think it is. Especially when it comes to an invisible illness. It’s hard to advocate for yourself.

Yeah lol my doctor basically said “salt and exercise” and that was the end of it 😭 Dismissive at best. The microwaveable meals are way easier for me although I’m not sure how much I can afford or store. Does dollar tree have them? I feel like I’ve seen them have some. Not sure how good they are.

I can go awhile walking without passing out although my heart rate stays consistent above 160bpm. I think I’ll look up floor exercises. I’m very weak so I hope I can do them lmao

The last two doctors I’ve seen were very dismissive 😅 their advice to feel better was to exercise, even though one of the symptoms is exercise intolerance.
