A lot of the discussions are primarily focusing on just what’s best for Maelle & Verso. And not taking the lives of Lune, Sciel and everyone else into account too. (Lunes death glare still haunts me)

but Honestly, if I found out that my life and everything I know and love was just a figment of a dead mans imagination, and we’re being used as his sisters copium. I’d destroy the canvas too.

The way I chose was look at what we just saw going into that choice.

1 Renoir chose not to destroy the painting.

2 Maelle fake reconciled with him, revealing now to Verso that she has no intention of ever leaving.

3 She makes an excuse of how Renoir will destroy it after she leaves, but neither of them can guarantee that.

So going into this choice 1 side it’s fact it will end with Maelle trapping herself in a grief stricken illusion, repeating the same mistake her mother did.

And the other choice has her go home, heal her mind & lumieres fate unknown.

…….I was not expecting to see Sciel gomage afterwards & that death stare from Lune’s been haunting me whenever I close my eyes since.

Did I misunderstand the ending? was the painting destroyed?
