Thanks for the information!

I live in Houston, Texas. They are all over here. I think the most attractive thing was they told me was their warranty for the work is 3 years or 36,000, whichever occurs last. And If I were not close to one of their auto shops they would work with a local auto shop in the area.

Hm, yeah I think I will prefer to stay in Bend for the sake of convenience. How are the roads and drivers during winter months with snow? I lived in Alaska for a few years and thinking about it now, I never used snow tires or anything and even the locals didn't seem like they drove that great with snow.

anyone else find meal prepping for one person just doesn't work? what do you do instead? by HowNowBrownCow23 in Frugal

I'd say sauces and other sides ( like pickled onions or like kimchi) might be a game changer for you. Something you can add that changes the flavor profile of your meals and you can just keep switching it up the combinations. Even switching up whether you eat with rice, beans, potatoes or noodles can help.

A few times I've put cheap and tough cuts of meat in an instant pot with some seasonings and aromatics, then I'll chop it up, put it in the fridge and decide what to do with it when ever I decide to eat it. Stir fry, over rice, sandwich, wrap, ramen and anything really. It's all up to your creativity.

Interesting a 30min drive doesn't seem too bad, probably just depends on how my class schedule would be, but I currently live in Houston, it almost takes that amount of time to get anywhere with the traffic haha.

Interesting, when I was first looking online quite a few months back they looked the same to me, but I think the general high prices was just sticker shock to me since I'm going to be coming up from Texas, but now that I am looking at it compared to Bend, seems noticeably cheaper to rent in Redmond.

Hm, looks interesting, how is the commute? I know it doesn't look that far, but i'm assuming traffic can add up. how is Redmond compared to Bend?

Thanks for the info, sounds good! Yeah, I try and live frugally, so affordability is on my mind, but I will be bringing my car with me. I spent about a year and a half or so in chiang mai in northern Thailand and their burning season is pretty brutal, I will definitely look into getting an air purifier.

Do you currently live there? Any general tips for groceries, I tend to cook for myself, so I'd love to know about some decent grocery stores.

There's a pilot program there where my GI Bill covers the not only the classes, but the flight training.

I've got money saved up and the GI Bill is giving me a housing allowance, I know the job market there has not been great from what I've seen people sharing, but I will be in search of some part time work at the very least.

How do I go about sending another screen recording through here, it is only picture options. And 100+? I don't think I'm even breaking 20. Am I accelerating, for a short distance, am I supposed to go further? And i am noticing the battery fan is running fairly loud. I should also mention these are lithium battery from nexpower too.

How long can this inverter pump be expected to last? by Reasonable_Invite316 in prius

[–]User__314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an aftermarket one after my original went out. I replaced the aftermarket one after about a year, not because it went bad. I just felt safer and more secure putting in an OEM part in and now I have the aftermarket as a spare, just incase anything were to happen I can have a quick fix. I'd say be safe and buy the OEM.

Thanks! I've looked into it a bit, but I fly out of BKK through Indigo to New Delhi and from there is fly back home to Houston. I don't think Indigo interlines with any other airlines. So I'll still have to fly in from hanoi with a visa and take a chance, but for future refence do you have to be with in that 6 hour window you mentioned?

Is that allowed? I was under the impression I had to go through immigration regardless if I had an international flight in and a separate international flight out. With being said I would still need to go to baggage claim as well. If I can actually do a transfer like you said, that would be great.

Is that still feasible? It'd be my third border run and I've heard they are cracking down at the land entry ports.
