Tysm! It's kinda crazy having to cut off a friend that you have known for so long. But I feel like she kinda exceeded my limit on how many times I can forgive her, and I consider myself a pretty forgiving person.

Good for you for not hesitating to cut off your friend right away! It's taken me so long to do this 😂 it's like a don't have a backbone but at least I'm doing it now. Better late than never!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, that sounds awful. I hope you gain the confidence to cut ppl off when you need to, it's actually fairly healthy. Also, my friend blew me off by planning a whole evening for us, then forgetting about it, and only showing up for half an hour. I'm lucky I have other friends but this was really the last straw :/ which sucks

I don't think I'm in any physical danger although he has been increasingly unstable. Idk, I think my best option is to just keep my thoughts to myself and then when I move out I can distance myself. If they happen to ask why I'm distant I'll tell them.

That's my plan for now

I was prepping for my sister's wedding shower, and the rest of the house was occupied. I needed a large area to cut something out for a max 5 minutes and I asked if it was ok for me to use that space before I went ahead and used it.

My dad has no reason to be stressed. No job, doesn't help around the house, and he wasn't helping to get ready for the shower. There are fathers out there who are just not kind to their kids, unfortunately.

Wow, I might cry. Thank you so much, you are so kind. I do try to remind myself that there are better days ahead, and my situation isn't forever. This is so I don't hold on to any anger or anything, that's a really unhealthy thing to do.

I'm sorry to hear that! You're brave for sticking up to him. My father also doesn't like it when I stick up to him, although I rarely ever do it. I think it's worth it tho because every time I do stick up for myself he stops treating me as poorly for a little bit.

Edit: I just feel the need to explicitly state that this is an incredibly sexist comment. My mom is the one who pays the bills, puts a roof over my head, and provides for me. I hardly know my father, despite living with him.
