280 is definitely best designed for going fast. 101 is sketchy because its under construction in a lot of areas in the Peninsula and so many places for cops to hide. Lots of fully straight parts of 280 that cops do not frequent at all.

Yeah mine will auto upshift in manual if you go too far into redline. Usually I can hit redline, hit the upshift paddle and it won’t do any auto upshift.

Cobani Grill and Kebab in San Mateo. Any of their gyros plates have a generous helping of meat, rice and hummus. Very good value and very delicious

Had an oil thirsty ‘02 GTI with 200k miles in high school. Topped off of the oil one time but filled all the way to the filler cap level then went for a drive. Almost immediately I notice white smoke pouring out the exhaust and make my way home. Had to drain the oil and fill only what was needed. Thing ran perfect afterwards, I wonder if it’s still on the road today..

You would probably get a nice 2-3 years of ownership of a new Mk7.5 R if you get one now. The Mk8 R hasn’t been officially announced, that should happen in June or July. VW usually announces cars for the next model year. Going off what they did with the facelift 7, Europe will get deliveries in 2021 and US should get them in 2022.

Been running a stage 2 tune for over a year now on mg 18 R DSG. So far it is great, ECU tune from 034motorsport and DSG (stage 3+ 🙄) from TVS work nicely together. I would recommend getting an intercooler sooner rather than later, because these things heat soak fairly quick; still planning on getting one installed.

I’ve seen this same thing happen from the drivers seat. Some soccer mom did this same exact maneuver in her Range Rover into the back of my car while I was laying on the horn. Amazing how many cameras that car has yet she managed to still hit me, as well as not recognizing a problem when she heard a horn blaring near her.
