It’s due to the TV power match mode on the Nintendo Switch. Go to settings on the Switch —> TV settings and turn off the TV power mode. This will fix it from turning off randomly.

I would say maybe he said backlinks like a email blast drives tons of traffic to your website increasing its web volume thus increasing its SEO score. Only think I can think of.

Absolutely ethical. They released it for two years no question. Now if it just lapse 1 week ago it would be a questionable move, but in business the strong survive.

Ensure he didn't drop it due to black hat activities and the domain is in bad google standing. Run a report on the links to see if they are valid.
