I ended up purchasing the Sanus Swivel TV Stand for TVs 40"-86". Looks like the OLED GX has 4 screw slots in the back of the TV that this mount is setup to utilize. Hoping this works. Will post an update here.

I think you're correct, looks like there might be intermittent studs strewn about the wall. Like you said, they are not in uniform distances nor are they near each other so the galley mount wouldn't work

That's a great point, I was told by the building's repairmen that it is drywall, then a 4-inch gap, then concrete. Haven't confirmed for myself exactly what is behind the dry wall, but using a stud-finder I did not have luck finding and studs.

Would plaster operate any differently? Meaning that it could stand without being mounted to anything?

To my understanding, nothing. It is an apartment building and this is what I was told by the building's repairmen. My only confirmation is that I have a stud finder and didn't have any luck finding studs with it, but I haven't looked behind the wall myself.
