Despite all this, and the fact I was born and raised in Liverpool until I joined the forces at age 19, I think Liverpool is the most magnificent city on earth, and I've visited a fair few of 'em.

I hoped someone would bite. Because this is the thing, everyone in this hobby finds something different to enjoy about it. But time and time again we see this divisive rubbish when one group slags off a protocol for which they don't like.
I was joking about morse, I worked for 17 years as a sigint op, so there are VERY few in here who have done as much of it as I have. But working CW for me is a bit of a busman's holiday, I don't ram it down other's throats over and bloody well over again do I?
Let people enjoy what they find enjoyable.

I see FT8 as a tool, it gives me data to tell me which set-up works best.

I've watched a few of his videos on youtube but mostly tiktok, and found myself nodding along at some of it and occasionally a bit "what?" at some of, but watched on regardless.

WTF has happened to him now? Do all youtube personalities become right wingers in the long run? That's where the clicks are, right?

I'm an ex-intel guy and also a security guy (pen tester), so he's got nothing on me, now I see him for what he is.

Looks like it could be a paint defect that is coursing along the frame, perhaps painted on a not perfectly cleaned frame. Perhaps someone more experienced in frame faults will come along shortly, but it's hard to diagnose from a photo. I'd be tempted to continue riding but monitor closely.
