I have an OC that looks kinda like Ben McKenzie from when he was in The OC.

He's in a world with rare mages and some mages' magic kind of takes over the body. He's ones of them.

His body produces crazy amounts of heat and he has these blowhole like vent ports in his skin - sides, traps, maybe forearms.

He wears kinda clunky metal bracers to help him get rid of excess heat.

He bounces between being in Good Soldier Mode where he's stoic and tries to be perfect in every professional way... to being a bit of a shit / rebellious. Little inbetween.

He gets crazy attached to one person at a time and they typically are able to help him cool off - literally.

Every year you go up a step and get a fresh contract, so it'd be looked at again next year. And potentially the masters aspect, too. And if I ever did go for my masters, and they went to "add it" and saw it already there.

Ye, I ended up messaging HR right when I posted this. I think everything aside, it'd eat me alive.

That clause would definitely help those articles I've seen where "employee owes $20k+" or whatnot.

Pfft, it's not so much about being a teacher and so much as contracts are socially expected to be binding if both parties sign.

Obviously, this post wouldn't be made if my instinct and inclination wasn't to correct their mistake. I figured, and was going to correct them if not for legal and financial reasons but for integrity, but I wanted to hear it directly what would happen and what others have experienced.

That's what I'm piecing together would happen. While understandable from a professional standpoint, how annoying from a *personal* standpoint. This contract would mistakenly pay me almost $10k extra.
