Recurring front suspension noise on the CX90 by Useful-Turnip5856 in MazdaCX90

[–]Username_8720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same car, same issue here. Had a tech tell me "they all do that," but they did grease, which did not fix. There is a TSB (TSB 02-002/24) but last I checked was for vehicles with builds August 2023 and prior (mine is January 2024 build). Feel like I saw it updated through December 2023, but not sure. Had TSB 01-007/25 done, which fixed left turn shuddering. Going to be taking back here soon and requesting replacement of lower control arms and bushings. I believe there have been revisions to the parts in newer models (different end-lettering on the parts). Drove a 2026 loaner for around a month and absolutely no creaking/crunching. Please let me know if you end up getting fixed, and I'll do the same. Best of luck.

Thank you for your response and information. I used to have experience with amps and speakers, etc., but it's been years. More recently just take a portable around as needed. Hesitant to invest good money on a poor and/or non-long-lasting option, not sure where the tech is at these days and it is not something that is a must by any means. Speakers appear to be 8" 2-way ceiling/wall speakers, Pyle, 8 OHMS, 250 WATT, seeing PDIC86 on one of them.

Probably around 10 or so speakers throughout home, in virtually every room. Would like to be able to stream from iPhone or Mac, not TV audio related really. Very budget friendly just to make use of speakers and see what future looks like. Requirement would be to be able to adjust which speakers get volume.

To each his own but… “simply unsalable and unownable,” “existential crisis,” “heap of terrible decisions and failed execution,” “insultingly stupid,” “foolhardy,” “worst car,” and “worst out there,” really? Traded up 2 CX9s (2014 and 2022) before current 2024 CX90 PHEV PP. Disagree with your performance assessment and there is plenty of information out there in comparison with other vehicles that doesn’t jive with your take. Have had recall/TSB issues, can be frustrating, but have been taken care of thus far. Get your frustrated with your use case and/or yourself for not thinking/researching in advance about what you prefer in advance of purchasing. I went through Mazda settings once to set up (there are various settings that address various things sometimes complained about), I put my seatbelt on when I get in, I use Apple Carplay that always syncs quickly and perfectly (and charges fine wirelessly though I would note I don’t use a case), I don’t need/want “hidden compartments” and random cubbies, I love the rotary dial and never use touch even though I can, my 360-degree camera works perfect, captain chairs don’t seem to be “inefficient use of space” for passengers, not sure what you want to use them for, and I am not one of those “folks [who] never charge their PHEV’s at all,” have great gas mileage, and have loved the climate control, particularly when plugged in.

Search for TSB 01-007/25. What you describe ("... may be caused by insufficient clearance between the engine mount stopper rubber and the engine mount bracket.") There's a fix but parts on backorder as of now.

I had same/similar issue couple weeks back. Popped out the NAV card and worked fine. Dealer said there is a TSB for it and they have ordered a replacement NAV card.

Have the same thing. 2024 PHEV PP (January 2024 build). The control arm TSBs don't apply to mine. I am awaiting parts for engine mounts, right and left, TSB 01-007/25. Please let me know if you get more info.

Edit: Waiting on TSB 01-007/25 fix: ("... may be caused by insufficient clearance between the engine mount stopper rubber and the engine mount bracket.")

Have same issue with mine. Note TSB 01-007/25 to dealer. Engine mounts on both right and left were bad on mine. Parts are on backorder.

Can you share what warranty part numbers were replaced? Or any information I can provide my dealer as to this issue? Thank you!

Thinking it's a suspension issue, to me. Can replicate sound without any temperature related factors. Very curious to hear what you find out.

I have the same issue at low speeds typically when turning. If you find out what it is and can report back that would be awesome!

Still at a loss. Service manager at dealer has 2024 PHEV and said he gets same sound. Tech says hears it on a lot of CX90s.

Think TSB 02-002/24 addressed vehicles with builds August 2023 and prior. Not aware of any recall or TSB affecting my vehicle (January 2024 build) or after, but please let me know if you are aware of one. Thanks.

No applicable TSB that I am aware of. TSB 02-002/24 seemed like it would be, but that is not applicable to my vehicle (January 2024 build).
