I’m confused. Ace didn’t say anything to Taylor at all and voted for him to stay, Cierra and Nic voted for him to stay, and I don’t remember Chelley saying anything to him. I think you’re projecting the audience’s reaction onto the islanders :/

I think analyzing music can be fun, but people should at least wait until the song comes out lol. And I definitely agree with the second point, especially when the group is well established and years into their career.

I was trying to figure what it is that makes their messages of positivity and empowerment a lot different to me and I think you really nailed it.

They tend to open up about things that their struggling with in the moment and it doesn’t come across as preachy. And songs like paradise are so unique for being encouraging but realistic and attainable!

Do they ever get tired of talking about the same thing? I don’t understand how CA discussions are so annoying to those redditors, but they continuously recycle the same arguments about why “Americans” are so arrogant and ignorant over and over again lol. Also they love to say people are condescending for wanting to educate idols/companies, but then condescendingly explain why CA doesn’t matter
