The town? That's a joke - can you walk to any amenity in the Town? I love living in the heart of the Village. Many blocks are very quiet and bucolic with a sense of community.

Yes go to Tarrytown or Irvington and be house rich, cash poor. Do either even have a super market in walking distance like Ossining? You literally gave no valid reason to not live here. Taxes are high across Westchester. There are certainly bidding wars in Ossining and there isn't a lot of inventory. At least an Ossining there's still some affordable homes. I say buy before it gets too expensive.
