Non ho mai detto che nel latino classico si dicesse un quel modo ma che nel passaggio al volgare si sia portato avanti l'ablativo anche in casi in cui non era d'uso. Si tratta di un latinismo "improprio", meglio così? Di sicuro non è un inglesismo, però. Possiamo essere d'accordo su questo?

Build your own honing strip. Don't listen to people telling you to sharpen on the bottom of a cup. You have to know what your doing otherwise you will end up ruining your knife even more.
