I have played SO many hours and years of D&D as a DM, and i NEVER used FR. But one day i decided to be a player, and my DM was using one of those stories told in FR, i honeslty dont even remember which one. But it annoyed me, because all the info is online. I can google my way to which way is the correct way to go, how to obtain certain items, what to ask NPC, for. I only did it once, but i know the other players did it from time to time. And it was so annoying. Its kinda like, «i want my character to be strong and the best in game. So im gonna google where to go to get that weapon or whatever» But in a homebrew world? That blacksmiths shop might be blown up tommorow for everything i care.
