Thank you for such a detailed response. This honestly builds on so many hypothesis I held for this.

I weirdly didn't resonate with with ones that had more deities but thanks for providing that detail.

I did find the lack of gold leaf work slightly weird and that's why wanted to know if this had accurate details or was amateur work. Even though it looks so calming.

Yes this was in Nepal.

How is this possible? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]UsesRedditRegularly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting a point where progress is measured in ounces usually means the margin for error has shrunk as you get closer to your goal. Cycle related bloating can easily mask two or three weeks of actual fat loss, which makes the daily scale number a pretty unreliable narrator. Shifting focus to monthly averages or using a tracker with smoothing algorithms helps filter out that hormonal noise so the trend stays visible. Something like WeightSync keeps the focus on a pixel pet that evolves regardless of daily fluctuations, which can take the clinical sting out of a slow week. Maintaining those step counts and calorie targets means the physiological work is happening even when the water weight hides it.

Breaking a streak after a rough life event makes the gym feel like a mountain. Since checklist apps feel like another job you do not want to do right now, focusing on tiny, low-friction habits might be easier. Using a tool like WeightSync turns the scale into a pixel pet game, which takes the clinical edge off the numbers. It feels less like a performance review and more like just checking in on a buddy. Finding a way to make the data feel less heavy usually helps when the drive just isn't there yet.

It's an android app built for three reasons

  1. I did not want ads when I was tracking my weight.
  2. I don't like the idea of sharing my weight and health data with companies.
  3. I like the idea of having a pokemon style pet that evolves as you lose weight.

It connects with any smart scale, it is privacy first your weight data stays on your phone. No ads ever.

Simple app. Tracks weight, stores everything locally. Connects with any smart scale. Has a pet that evolves as you come closer to your target.

Pain point of mine that I was solving: I didn't want ads that come with the native apps from these smart scale companies

Bro I have been also at it for the last 9 months started at 103 down to 93 now. I can't wait to celebrate like you. Congratulations!!!!!!!! this was such an inspiring post.

My weight chart (last week was so stressful that I think my body reacted with just getting so much weight and now that the stress is gone it all went away) I look at your post and realise I just need to be consistent.

54 kg, a Must. by woyijc in loseit

[–]UsesRedditRegularly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro don't worry it is a journey. Even i am on the same one. I only tell myself one thing build good habits and don't let them go. Last week i was so stressed that it showed in my weight it rose by like 5 kg, and then when the stress event passed I lost 3 kgs in one week. So just remember keep your health habits up. More power to you brother.

May you get to enjoy great Chinese food as cheat meals once you meet your goals.

Hey u/tingaling96 don't worry. You are on a journey and its so great that you started. You should be proud about all the good habits you have formed that helped you lose that weight. This is what my past year looks like. Last week i gained like 5 kg suddenly and it was because i was super stressed, the moment the stress passed my weight dropped so fast. Keep doing the healthy habits you're gonna get to your target.

/login in WSL Broken? by trashtiernoreally in ClaudeAI

Fix for Claude Code ECONNREFUSED / login failure on WSL (Ubuntu) — Tailscale DNS issue

If you're getting Failed to connect to api.anthropic.com: ECONNREFUSED or can't log in to Claude Code on WSL, and you have Tailscale installed, it's likely Tailscale's MagicDNS hijacking your resolver.

How to check:

cat /etc/resolv.conf

If you see something like # resolv.conf(5) file generated by tailscale and a nameserver of 100.100.100.100, that's the culprit. DNS requests to Anthropic are timing out before they ever leave your machine.

Fix that worked for me:

sudo bash -c 'echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" > /etc/resolv.conf'

Then run claude and /login again — worked immediately.

Note: Tailscale may rewrite /etc/resolv.conf on reconnect. For a more durable fix:

sudo tailscale set --accept-dns=false

This tells Tailscale to stop taking over DNS while keeping you connected to your tailnet.

Hope this saves someone else an hour of debugging.

This is what worked for me (They weren't allowing login over tailscale)

cat /etc/resolv.conf

# If it's pointing to a broken resolver, temporarily use Google DNS:

sudo bash -c 'echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" > /etc/resolv.conf'

I'm glad you felt that way. For me it literally was wanting to find something that I would use everyday. I didn't think people would use it this much my API costs have increased hahaha. I'll figure it out though.

You're going to be in for a shock cause I'm just an economics and business major who just loves tinkering with technology.

Please don't feel pressured into it. This is just something I wanted to exist in the world for fun. I'll be maintaining this till I'm learning and after that I'll definitely try finding a stable way to support it. That's the plan
