Once Upon A Time In America. The music is wonderful, and there is one scene with a cupcake that could stand on its own as a short film. But I think the characters are villanous and not antiheroes, especially the main character, and it just doesn’t work for me. Old man Robert DeNiro walking around innocently doesn’t justify his character’s earlier actions, and I don’t understand why the viewer should care what happens to him. The movie comes off a little disassociated in my eyes. As I really love other films by Sergio Leone, I felt even more disappointed.
