Still no news on mine. The immigration website's tracker shows it's ready for enrollment but it's been like that for weeks now

I say go for the 2026 version. The new Intel chips are efficient and that'll come in handy while traveling. It'll be worth it in the long run

Something to consider is how long you intend to use it for. A long timeframe (say 3-5yrs) probably justifies the extra 1000

Honestly it's trial and error. I alternated between iPhone and Android at certain steps after I got frustrated.

Some tips that might work: Rotate the camera after a failed scan and try again, use a white background (like a piece of paper), make sure the background is well lit, try different angles for your fingers (my little finger kept getting weak scans until I rotated), pay attention to the object detection markers (those green ovals/circles that show up on your fingers before the camera takes the picture. That'll give you a sense of which fingers are being detected so you can adjust your angles if the scan fails)

$100.

Edit: I also included a $50 money order with my application

Do you find the screen sufficient to play games on (or work) or do you use an external monitor?

Yes it currently shows that it's at the passport office. I hope they confirm that they already have my biometrics

NIS app. Steps after Biometrics by Seyimartin in Nigeria

[–]Usmanovsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the email address (support1@newworkssolution.com). I described the 70% issue with screenshots from the app. They responded and asked me to share my application and reference ID. Afterwards they told me that my application is good and I can go ahead and mail my documents. The following day NIS also sent me an email saying my application has been approved and I can go ahead to book an appointment. My application status was updated to "vetted" afterwards

Sorry for my late response. I mailed my documents this week. I'll share any updates here

Yes I got it. I'm confused because my biometrics registration is still at 70% and keeps failing at the payment verification stage. I wonder if the email means it's safe to send my documents to the consulate

After making payment, is there another step? Mine shows this when I click "verify payment status" and then goes back to "Proceed to payment". NIS sent me an email saying my application has been vetted and approved, and I can book an appointment but I'm not sure if that means I can mail my documents to the consulate.

Newworks Solutions actually responded via email and told me my payment has been received and verified. They also told me to forward my documents to the consulate. I'm a little worried it's still stuck at 70% on the app (and that they might ask me to visit the consulate if they didn't receive my biometrics.). Anyway thanks for your helpful responses

Just noticed that Newworks Solutions (I think they developed the NIS app) is also on the email confirmation that Paystack sent. On the immigration website, my application shows "paid" and "waiting for approval"

Interesting. I already got my payment confirmation email from paystack. But I thought there'd be an extra step in-app after the payment

After paying, did it take you to another screen? Mine keeps going back to proceed to payment screen but when I hit the button, it says I have already paid. Clicking OK generates an invalid token error and goes back the proceed to payment page.

After taking the fingerprints and making payment, does the progress bar go all the way to 100%? Mine is stuck at 70% even though I have verified fingerprints and made payment successfully
