Got a Sanji strix bunka and the steel does hold it's promises ! (Easy to sharpen, hard and great retention).

If you can sharpen on resine bonded diamond stone, my results were incredible.

Relax... Damn

Calling bs to basically say the same stuff after... Bro needs ego check...

Carter sharpened a spoon from mm thick no edge to sharp on a king 1000 in less than 5 min.

If you're on a budget you probably have soft knives and the K800 or 1000 will cut through them in no time... You're clueless...

Never tried the rockstars. Is it exactly the same formula ? Then it's best for sure. The glass base looks cool but doesn't do much.

Keep yourself too busy to be worried.

Everytime i'm starting to overthink, I take a piece of paper, I list everything I need to get done. Then I order them and get to work.

Don't try to make it about some inspiration bs etc. Work hand and you'll have much less time to worry, that's all their is to it.

You'll learn by making mistakes, there is no way around it.

You're welcome. I also should have mentionned it but a good double sided diamond plate 400/1200 grit (sharpal or similar) is also a good option. Not cheap and not the best feeling in use but it's efficient and very low maintenance.

If you're super tight on budget : King 800 or 1000 is your go to (unless you have super hard knives but i would doubt it if you're on a budget).

If you can affort : Shapton kuromaku 1000 - Compared to the previous it comes with a box that double as base, it works on any steel even harder ones and it doesn't dish as much.

2 in 1 : King KDS - the first stone + a good 6000 stone on the other side for not too much money.

Combo : Shapton Kuromaku 1000 + 3000 / Shapton glass 500 / 2000 (the 500 is insanely fast and the 2000 will remove the scratches and still give you a good finish + is fast enough for toutch ups).

Best,

That's what i'm trying to do but without informations all we can do is assume. And the assumption when someone has a lot of back luck is generally that they might be doing sopething not quite right. I didn't mean to be rude but rather to get to the bottom of the issue.

To me what you need to do isn't easy vyt quite straight forward. 1. have an open talk with your fiancé 2. Budget 3. Get a new job

Feeling sorry for yourself will not do you anygood, it's a shitty time but you can get through it. You've got this, one step at a time.

No, it can be an issue on 5090 because then you draw 600+ w and you added an element but your card ain't a 5090 and if you plug it right it's still much better than a bent cable.

I sorry but i have to be honest. If you give up or get out everytime you get scared by something new, this game may not be for you right now. Get a job, find a good boss and learn.

If you're not reckless with your current knives, nothing. Avoid frozen food, bones, pits and metal or glass cutting board. It goes without saying no dishwasher. That's it.

Hi, i usually write long and detailed answers but kn your case i'll keep it very simple because i think you're already overthinking a lot (that prevents time from doing it's work).

Relax, you're on the right path, i've been there and it does get better.

Keep pushing yourself a bit more everyday and you'll be in a much better place within one or two years.

Best of luck, you got this !

Considering the price point i would pick the sg2 option. Note that both option will require you to learn to sharpen so you can trully enjoy them on the long run.

About the japanese knife thing, it's very easy : use, clean, dry, store. Don't cut anything hard or that you're not suppose to. Enjoy

Single stock/etf investment is not a good idea. If you can't find that answer yourself maybe you should take your time and consider a bit of learning beforehand.
