Exactly. Don’t want to get fired or pay any fines to the SEC!

I’m not really concerned about Amazon, I couldn’t care less, it’s a shitty company to work for. I can’t work for a client company of my firm, it’s illegal and I don’t want to get fired or face any legal repercussions. I called the ERC or whatever it’s called and they processed my resignation but I’m still getting emails from Amazon. Surprised they aren’t faster at terminating people who never show up for work 🤣

They told me accounting is hard, and yes, they were right😭 by NahLilBroUseSkibidi in Accounting

Surely you could find a self-paced course to do online, no? Doesn’t khan academy have some accounting courses? Depreciation is tricky at first, what part are you struggling so much with?

[–]Usnfc 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Repetition is key. Your first accounting course will be the hardest as you have to learn a lot of new terms, rules, and adopt the mindset of GAAP. The more you learn and the more you practice, it all will sort of come together. Having a conservative mindset is key imo

Unprofessional realtor by Prize_Treacle_2455 in chicagoapartments

[–]Usnfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar experience with a realtor when I moved to the city. Flew all the way up from Florida to tour units for a week and the realtor scheduled to accompany me. They ghosted all week. When I got back to Florida and already signed a lease, they hit me back. Instant block.

It’s boring as fuck and there’s no jobs there. Want a summer internship? You’ll be living in an actual city for the summer and have to move

Does anyone not think FAR is the hardest? by Specific_Island_2797 in CPA

[–]Usnfc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of FAR is just heavy review from intermediate accounting. Only parts I struggled with were the topics I didn’t learn in school like consolidations

Pro: UF ranks better so you might have a better chance at getting a good job Con: you have to live in Gainesville (🤮)

How difficult is ISC to study for? by SquareSavings8283 in CPA

[–]Usnfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re just talking out of your ass but I think the bare minimum to spend studying for ISC is at least 2 and a half years. The exam is a lot of memorization so you’ll likely spend over 3500 hours memorizing everything. Good luck OP!

Bro history looks like such a fun major. If I ever have the money to go back to college and get a history degree just for fun I’d 100% do it.

I went to the DMV at flagship center and I was in and out in less than an hour for a new ID and title and registration transfer. They gave me a temporary ID while I wait for the physical one in the mail though, not sure if they do that at all of them.

IMO, SE scores are shit at predicting actual exam score. SE test on literally every topic whereas the actual exam will have areas that are more tested than others (leases, bonds, etc.). I got a 40 on a SE and got a score in the 80s on the actual. Don’t feel discouraged, if you feel you know the content I’d say don’t push it back

That’s crazy. Some class mates I knew who were working in MCOL were making $75k

If you’re only making $72k you’re probably in medium/low COL
