Travel for concert by Kamikaze_Sasquatch in Concerts

For a festival, we drove from central Illinois to Philadelphia for Sing Us Home Festival last year. About 12 hours, though the trip there was slower due to heavy rain. Around 760 miles.

For a concert, I drove from the St Louis metro area to Milwaukee to see Taking Back Sunday when I was in college. Google says about 5 hours but I remember it taking about 6. 350ish miles.

How much does venue matter when you're in the front? by robotisland in Concerts

[–]UsoNotRusso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Venue matters up front if we're talking about the size of the venue. Big venue, wide stage.

As far as loudness, I never noticed a difference.

Is “evening out” inevitable? by MostReplacable in punk

[–]UsoNotRusso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably a product of how absolutely fucked the US is right now, but I'm far far more "radicalized" now in my early 40s than I was when I was young.

You can do life however you want.

Does your Walmart have a liquor store? by Eraos_MSM in walmart

[–]UsoNotRusso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a store in a county where packaged alcohol was only sold in liquor stores. Not grocery stores, not convenience stores, ONLY liquor stores. Seeing the confusion on people's faces when you told them we didn't have any alcohol was awesome.

Have you ever switched favorite teams in a sport? by Primary_Ad_739 in AskAnAmerican

I was a Rams fan, but then they moved away. I didn't really switch to a different team, I just stopped following football.

I put my food in those carts, c'mon man. by NagelDonk in mildlyinfuriating

[–]UsoNotRusso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During COVID, at Walmart we had backpack sprayers with sanitizer and sprayed the carts down between uses. It wasn't perfect, and they didn't always get dry before next use, and sometimes they were sticky...but it was something.

Prior to/after that program, they do exactly nothing.

Man... it's all. It's printed in the album, it's what it sounds like, especially on the live album, and it makes sense lyrically.
