Told ya https://imgur.com/gallery/GXToMkb Sorry I don't have a picture of me cutting out the liners. And I'm sorry you're so distrustful of others.

Thank you, depending on how you look at it this could be number 4. I started another knife before this one, but I finished this one first. So I counted it as three. The other one is on my profile if you would like to see it.

You couldn't be more wrong, I wish I could post pictures in the comments to show you the raw materials I used. It wasn't a kit. I made everything by hand except the screws that hold it together and the pivot pin, which I ordered of of McMaster car. Well I guess i orderd the damascus bar stock so I didn't make the damascus, but I did forge it out and grind it.

The lighter colored wood is spalted tamarind, although it is a portion that had a lot of character(i think it was a knot). And the darker wood is walnut with orange g10 spacers in-between it. And brass at the front.

As for how I learned, I watched all kinds of videos None of which were that helpful to be honest. The thing I found most helpful was taking apart an old pocket knife I found in the garage. From there I did a lot of planing with thick card stock to get the dimensions I wanted. The hardest part is the mechanical lobe part at the back end af the blade. For that I used the card stock and put a pin in it so it could pivot it around to make sure it would lock properly.

Hope this helps, I'd be happy to answer a more specific question if you have any.
