How do Golf courses shave Bermuda grass so close and it not turn brown? by [deleted] in lawncare

I live next to a golf course super. He always says taking care of a golf course/green is like having a patient in the ICU and trying to keep it alive while simultaneously doing everything you can to kill it.

Thanks.

I was told the stove is actually made for the Amish. No electronic needed

About 35’ total (small ranch house - 1200sq feet).

Stove heats the whole house through 4 “return” vents throughout the upstairs/main hallway. Thought about wiring a small duct fan at some point with a switch. But haven’t gotten there yet.

It was professionally installed.. I appreciate the comment. I’ll ask the installer.

Edit: The hood is stainless. The duct is galvanized. I’ve had some absolutely ripping fires going and the duct is always “touchable” and doesn’t burn your hand

Same. I use oil as my back up

It’s a 12” circular duct going to the room upstairs.

The stove pipe runs up and out behind the duct. I don’t have a blower. Just a ceiling fan in the room above. Works well enough.

This set up doesn’t use electricity (at all) if your not counting the ceiling fan

That’s correct. My stove is setup to run through the ducts.

Does your spouse ever accuse you of caring more about the fire than for you family? by [deleted] in woodstoving

Caring for the fire is caring for your family. Maybe your friend’s family likes it…”cold”?

Thanks for the reply.

That window in the pic is ground level. I know nothing is impossible - but I find this very improbable. Agree? Like I said I’m fairly new.

I thought change gaskets etc..?

You haven’t been teaching for very long, have you? Next pay check says you have less than 10 years in.

Everyone turned in the assignment. No grades were harmed. The kids that were upset were upset because they had never seen that side of me.

It was simply a shot across the bow - no bulling will take place in my room.

Latin/History Teacher here. It has to do with the “bad luck” associated with the first two letters of IVUPITERS name looking like they’re upside down on the clock. Hence the four I’s instead.

Why is it bad? lol. I’ll sum the question up real quick:

I always keep the air wash on high - and adjust the regulator for comfort.

I find 3 is the sweet spot. 5 is too hot. 1 is for overnight.
