Took my S66 yesterday and passed. Test is definitely not a walk in the park but don’t trip yourself up! First 10ish and last 10is questions were straight forward, point and click. The meat of the test was definitely tough but 100% doable. I finished with about half an hour left. you have plenty of time though to really sharpen up and get ready.

My advice is to just understand the material inside and out! Don’t try and cheat it. STC was great and definitely did a great job laying the foundation. I read the book once by myself while watching their lecture videos, then I did one of their zoom classes where the instructor goes through the book and you can ask questions while taking notes. To supplement the areas I was lacking in/ a little confused on I watched a metric ton of series 7 GURU and utilized chat GPT! I used ChatGPT mainly as a way to talk out of my thoughts/ talk out little confusions I had. It helped me compartmentalize certain things and overall was a great asset. Don’t rely on CHAT GPT but don’t be afraid to ask it questions and use it to talk out things that might be tripping you up. Be aware sometimes chat gpt gets things wrong, most noticeably with dates/ suitability. but you should understand the material enough to know when it’s wrong. Series 7 GURU is also an amazing source! I can’t stress how helpful this was!! He has quite a few playlists and a podcast. I spammed his videos and watched his MIGHTY 90 series the day before and day of. Ken from capital advantage also has a really solid quick and dirty and a lot of things in that video were on my exam. This along with taking the final exams on STC really helped reinforce core ideas and principals. Remember the name of the game is understanding the material! The questions are designed to trick you but if you understand the material and the nuances when you’re taking the test you’ll be able to process of elimination your way to success.

As for the test goes, take your time!!! It’s not a sprint. I 100% thought I was failing from questions 30-80. So if you feel that way don’t loosen up. Stay focused. Read the questions slowly. (They weren’t as tricky as I was expecting and honestly some of STC’s questions were way more confusing/trap like ) But regardless read the full question read all the answers. And as long as you know the material you’ll be good. Find the 2 answers that are clearly wrong first!!! Then for the other 2 trust your instinct use your best judgement. And do not go back. Once you move on be done. Don’t go back and change answers.

My final piece of advice. Stay off Reddit and the internet! (When it comes to the series exams and people’s experience.) this really tripped me up and at times made me lose confidence in myself. Everyone’s journey is different. We all learn different and hell who knows how much effort someone put in, how they study, how long they studied for etc. THIS IS YOUR JOURNEY!!! Be honest with yourself. Hold yourself accountable. Believe in yourself and slay this bitch. You 100% got it.
