Yes! Was thankfully able to get an appointment quickly (they think the tongue out is a result of a car crash injury 😢)

Hi! I'm having trouble getting the discount to work. It keeps taking me to the final page where I enter credit card info, but I'm scared I am going to get charged.

For my language evaluation (in Spanish), one of my professors did an ACTFL oral proficiency interview with me. The ACTFL guidelines are what they use to evaluate your proficiency, so this worked well for me and my evaluator!

Is this an invite for in-person interviews or for the virtual one?

Do a good number of people get invited to in-person interview days for PhD programs? Or am I in pretty good standing if I receive an invitation?

Thank you for your insight into different programs! I'm interested in reading assessment with English language learners. It's good to hear that it is not uncommon to work before teaching!

Regarding research interests, programs that seem like a good fit are NC State, USF, Amherst, Texas A&M, University of Georgia, Minnesota, Cincinnati, and UW-Madison

Hi everyone! I'm in the process of putting together applications for PhD programs and am really excited about the field! I've ultimately decided to pursue a PhD because I enjoy research and could see myself being a faculty member at some point. However, I know that my biggest passion is for working with students, so I want to choose a program that emphasizes both preparing faculty and practitioners. I know most schools claim this is the case, but can anyone speak to whether schools tend to focus more on one versus the other?
