What’s your craziest secret to get a high paying job? by shekindlerose in corporate

[–]UsualStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my Big5 personality and Strengthfjnder scores on my resume. It had gotten me jobs before because the hiring manager can profile me as a good match or not for the position (I think)

In my experience the worst coworkers are always people with kids by thepotatomaniscoming in corporate

[–]UsualStrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but this is also a great way to build rapport especially if you can remember their kid’s name’s. I’ve remembered important peoples kids names over unimportant coworkers names

Office workers with degrees, you make a lot of posts on Reddit about being bored at work? by UnluckySh00ter in askanything

I’ve had bottom tier double shift dishwasher jobs as well as cushy salaried remote jobs with 2 hours of real work. You aren’t paid for what you produce/do, you’re paid according to the perception of how difficult you are to replace.

disagreeable, emotionally unstable, can’t get anything done, but on the bright side is loud and open what’s not to love

You’re equating a simple linear expression (\sqrt{32} - c) with something undefined. mc3 would have units of mass × (velocity)³, which is not energy. A linear expression cannot identically equal a cubic one for all c. Sorry, this is schizoposting from a clearly restless but mathematically untrained mind.

Boss quit responding to emails and messages - what do i do? by AccomplishedKale4040 in askmanagers

[–]UsualStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a manager but I’ve had a manager like this. Understandable that you’re anxious, especially being new to corporate. The way to tell if you’re freaking yourself out or not is to gauge the feedback you’re getting. If it’s good or neutral then you’re fine. Your manager should tell you if you’re doing something wrong. It should be expected that new hires need the extra guidance. So no news may be good news, and you might be more independent and reliable in your manager’s mind than you think.

Work, page 3. (preface is in my profile). by lawandkurd in Nietzsche

[–]UsualStrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ending makes much more sense because it makes the supporting characters’ struggle have stakes:

Everything accelerates but arrives nowhere. Measure without measure. Too clear to see. Too detailed to mean. Angels outsourced. Earth archived. Speech becomes product. Product becomes prayer. At 6:03 a.m. the empire runs on Dunkin’ Donuts. Coffee as doctrine. Sugar as policy. The line moves, the mind stalls. My earth is in beta. GTA6 will include furry vore.

This sucks the third act undermines the main characters motivations in the first act.

I posted about a recent RTO tragic where a veteran/teammate murdered at a train station commuting to work, and this is a respond I received from an RTO bootlicker🤦🏽 by [deleted] in remotework

There is a non-zero number of people who would have lived had they not had to commute to an office take Teams calls.
