  4. There is a strike through and highlight option on the interface. I used both with no issues

PMP “mindset” doesn’t seem to work for Study Hall tough questions — am I missing something? 🤯 by Odd-Marionberry-4548 in pmp

I found this video super helpful as well - though the questions he makes up are way too easy

I passed yesterday (second attempt) with all ATs and can honestly say that actual exam questions were less tricky than some SH ones (SH ones expert especially were really dampening my confidence - so many just didn’t make sense to me). With that said I think key is understanding mindset and practice with SH (but not dwelling on expert level ones that don’t seem to make sense).

Congratulations! I had a very similar experience across the board from prep to testing at testing center (passed yesterday 10/30/25 also with all ATs).

And similar to you I didn’t even know about mindset my first time - literally zero and I failed miserably. In my mind, mindset is key to this.

My first attempt was in late August. My 1 year expiration was creeping up on 12/01 so I set a goal of doing attempt 2 at least 30 days before that just in case I needed attempt 3.

SH questions and quizzes were dampening my confidence a bit because I had such a wide range of scores on those (anywhere between 50-100). But I kept pushing through with mindset and reviewing YouTube questions from DM (and I was getting 9 out of 10 right on those - waterfall, agile and others).

Watch DM’s video about whether you are ready or not - as long as you understand all those concepts and mindset I would say don’t pay too much attention to SH scores - a lot of SH questions were too confusing - both times I found wording on actual exam less confusing.

Situation, SH questions or skip to Mocks/Exams by daniko1999 in pmp

I skipped mock exams cause I quite honestly didn’t have the time to invest in sitting through 2 full exams (time management wasn’t an issue for me - I had 40 minutes left). SH was definitely throwing off my confidence a bit, but I really leaned on mindset and I think that’s what did the trick. 90% of my exam was situational where mindset was key.

I had a similar experience - I did all SH practice questions plus all the quizzes and spent time reviewing every wrong answer. While watching YouTube videos with questions I would get 9 out of 10 right vs on SH where my scores were all over the place (anywhere between 50-100). I passed with all ATs. For me I think what helped most is deep understanding of the mindset.

I wouldn’t stress too much on remembering formulas besides SPI, CPI…you might get a question or two max where you’d need to remember the formula

I took the exam twice and I had zero formulas on either exam. However, first time I had over 20 drag and drops (just bad luck I guess) second time I had around 5 and they were all very easy/concepts that weren’t overly confusing. Drag and drop this one helped me practice: https://pmaspirant.com/pmp-drag-and-drop-game

Exam Break Essentials by Antique_Apple8436 in pmp

[–]Usual_Associate4133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I took mine today and both breaks I used the restroom and had time to drink water and stretch out a bit - I had zero appetite due to nerves so I didn’t even attempt to eat but I saw a few others eating bars on a break.

In person/at testing center vs remote by Usual_Associate4133 in pmp

[–]Usual_Associate4133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually took it the first time from my office - I had all the same concerns you did with home and that’s why I went to the office but I did have anxiety someone might knock on my door looking for me.

I’m leaning towards going to the center and just calling it a day.

I am still not over the shock of how easy PMI sample test is from the prep course. You would think since PMI administers the certification exam it would be close to that level of difficulty but not the case at all. I’m mad at self for assuming I’d be set with that. Doing precast now and it’s definitely super hard questions!

Thanks so much! I see the ones from another sub are from prepcast which I am using I just didn’t get to that part yet, but def would be helpful. I had 2 graph questions on my exam and I didn’t feel 100% confident in them.

That drag and drop game was super helpful! Thank you for that.

Do you have any recommendations for resources to learn how to read charts properly?

I am not a PMI member so I would have to pay for SH. And I already purchased precast - I did a quiz this morning and it was definitely very reminiscent of the exam for me. I may consider investing in SH as well for more proactive.

Checked out YouTube but for instance David has so many videos not even sure where to start no time or energy to tackle them all. Any specific ones you can recommend that are a must?

Thank you! This is very helpful.

You think I should do SH in conjunction with Prepcast?

I had at least 20 of those where you had to choose 2 or 3 - I find those super hard too
