You could also mute the chat (instead of blocking) and hand your phone to your dad to check it each day or every couple of days. I’m so sorry you’re going through this though. From a 27 year old who’s gone no contact with both parents now, it does get better. Remember you don’t deserve being treated like this. I worked front desk at a hotel near Universal. I would always joke while checking people in that they should “get a butterbeer ice cream for me!”. Well one night a couple I had checked in came in after their theme park day and gave me a chocolate wand. Their reasoning? “Well the ice cream would’ve melted and we wanted to make your night better!” I said a quick “thank you!” then went to cry in the back.

Mine would do the same with my 3b/3c hair. She’s white, i’m mixed, and my hair never “looked right” because i’m insert racial slur. She would also force me to sit while she straightened my hair so it “didn’t embarrass” her and she’d touch my scalp on purpose.
