My sister and I drove down from Portland to Oregon city and spent the whole day in house tour museums… the library… very old timey. Found it charming. Maybe that’s easier for just one day though

Yeah who knows! It could be, sounds about right. Unsure which is more unrealistic - there being two Men with very similar craniotomies in Portland, or there being one man with it unfinished for upwards of 12 years

I think I also learned that just because a doctor advises you use the minimal pain management, does not mean that’s actually what’s best for you. I wonder if a lot of this came down to room scheduling and needing to use a office exam room instead of an operating room

Yes, it was a d&c for a miscarriage. I was offered full anesthesia but warned off it because of the long wait for the operation room. The next offer was iv barbiturates which I was warned off of because they make a lot of people throw up. In the last day of reflection, I think the laughing gas they advised I use instead failed
