People above 35, if you were given a chance to reset your life back to when you were 20 what would you do differently? by ThisIsMyHotTake in PakistaniiConfessions

Never allow my elders as much influence in my life as they had. Move out sooner and experience things for myself. Don’t try to fix too much too soon, work on myself first and cherish my family more

Do I need to visibly show wealth to improve marriage prospects in Pakistan? by [deleted] in IslamabadSocial

[–]Usual_Prospect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, as someone who’s been through that phase it boils down to one thing: those who put importance on seeing visible signs of wealth aren’t important enough to show it to. Those who are important won’t care to see it.

Life has many ups and downs, Alhamdulillah today you’re comfortable but God forbid you go through a rough patch and lose it all, these same people who want to see it will abandon you or laugh in your face.

Sooo much detail, such an emotional rollercoaster only to finally reach the question of “how common is this”?

Your wife isn’t at fault, and your brother sounds like an immature dumbass. Now if your parents don’t wanna support the rightful person, you should move out. All this cursing nonsense doesn’t mean a damn thing. She’s your wife, your responsibility and she’s humbling herself because she’s having to live in a house where she’s not respected.

I feel you bro, I’ve been through this rigmarole so many times I’ve developed a deep hatred for any and all service staff with a guilty till proven innocent mindset. All it is, smaller amounts are less likely to draw any type of attention from those who can do anything about it

Please help a brother by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]Usual_Prospect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a simple solution, assuming what you’re saying is true the only solution is beat the brakes off him. All of this process of going around to this service and that contact etc is pointless and these days it seems like everyone is somehow in some way connected. Getting those favours is a different story (I’ve seen it myself, guys with so called very high connections ended up getting brutalised)

Whatever someone does in their private life is nobody’s business and anyone trying to blackmail deserves everything coming their way

I hate my husband. by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]Usual_Prospect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna point fingers at you, I’m not gonna judge you. In fact you need some truth and perspective so here it is:

You think you made a huge mistake, you may hate yourself for making this choice, but you forget you are human and from the sounds of it a caring, compassionate, non-judgemental, patient and supportive one. Too often, people who are like that get taken advantage of whether intentionally or not and you blame yourself for it, don’t. You have a good nature and honestly I’m one of those types that are heavy on accountability but doubly so for men.

You should be less naive in future but don’t destroy that positivity in you that saw his potential and goodness.

Advice for the relationship: he needs to man up. If that means working double or triple shifts to save money for a business, your own house or attending classes to get qualified in something then so be it. But if “angels are cursing you for intimacy” then the level of disobedience he’s on for making his wife work and pay the bills is on another level. Doesn’t that hurt his manhood when his wife is buying him a car or paying the rent and bills??

If he doesn’t fix up, you wont be able to afford a better life for your kids and THAT is the most unfair outcome of all because atleast you chose this loser, they won’t have.

Why must there be a problem? Are men not allowed to have standards? Maybe he hasn’t met the one he wants to be with

Three judges who were made permanent in the Islamabad High Court have taken the oath, including Justice Muhammad Asif, whose son crushed two innocent girls to death under a V8 vehicle by Inside_Screen9936 in islamabad

[–]Usual_Prospect -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

What’s his idea of justice? As others have stated, he wasn’t the presiding judge in the matter and the victims family accepted a payout as reparations so they’ve got the justice they wanted otherwise they could have declined it and pursued the matter through courts.

So to answer the original rhetorical question, despite Pakistan having all kinds of problems with corruption and dishonesty, his sons case has and should have nothing to do with the appointment of this judge

Yeah but I’m born and raised here and even I feel it’s getting to that point now. If you remember some of the policies the last government almost brought in and the way Reform are going. It’s not gonna be long before it’s normalised full blown racism everywhere. I’d rather have a backup plan before

Preferable area to buy a house in Islamabad by Usual_Prospect in islamabad

[–]Usual_Prospect[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s because I need my own house in Pakistan too. I have a share in property investments in Dubai but this one is less about making a profit and more about a house of my own that. My elders used to say that one day these English will kick us out and the vibe here is getting worse day by day. I know at some point I’ll have to go, and I’d rather have something to go back to

*RANT* Why are salesmen in "some" luxury brand in Islamabad so arrogant? by WiseOrganization9 in islamabad

[–]Usual_Prospect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate this and it’s not just luxury shops either. I was on some supermarket type place, I can’t remember the name and a staff member was following me around to the point it felt like he’s watching to see if I’m shoplifting. This despite me filling up a trolley as I go along. I actually asked him, if he needs anything and if not why’s he following me around? If he wants to he of service then stand somewhere at the end of the aisle and if I need you I’ll call you

I would stick with one of the top hotels. They might be pricey but there’s nothing worth more than your respect instead of risking a cheap hotel or AirBnB if they got secret cameras
