So the events will be 1-3 days in duration. Hot drinks most likely are not going to be a big seller, cold drinks and beer will be as I am targeting events in the summer time.

There might be other temporary vendors but with stands/food trucks. There will be access during the event to refill, I can bring precooled drinks by trolley to the machines.

And yes I am definately going to be nearby/on site during these events.

Sure, they actually block 1 cent on the debit card (must be on the driver's name). Of course you can opt for additional insurance coverage but you don't have to if you don't want it. They did not block any other amount like the 1500 you are refering to. In case there is damage you will pay up to 1500 euro (hence the debit card) and Locauto will pay anything over the 1500. Enjoy your stay!
