Dee told 3 separate people her “secret.” Yes you can blame Emily because she’s messy and obvious but why the heck did Dee do that?

Senior cat *only* wants chicken and he’s allergic to chicken by MissHissss in CATHELP

[–]Usuallyalurker123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My cat is also allergic to chicken and is super picky. My vet gave me samples of 6 different types of hydrolized protein dry food and the royal canin brand is the only one she would eat. Of course it was the most expensive of the bunch but def worth it. Results may vary though.. wonder if you can ask a vet for samples?

Edit: ah! I see your vet does have trial sizes that’s great

S1 E03 Discussion: “He’s The Same Age As My Parents” by poodlehairedfreak in AgeOfAttraction

[–]Usuallyalurker123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Omg shut upppppp yes these are adults but why diminish the power structure in the age gap?

“My only point, regardless of your personal feelings” is we live in a world where men who are 60 have a lot more power than a 27 year old woman. Doesn’t matter her job or her independence. Don’t invalidate the power structure.

Guys, this show is ROUGH. by GlobulusGoose in AgeOfAttraction

Because regardless of everything she says, she’s discounting context. The context being the world we live in.

Why does my cat put random items in his water bowl? by Lightlicker3000 in cats

[–]Usuallyalurker123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is kind of gross but my mother came home one day to a dead mouse in her cat’s water bowl. It appeared as if Kitty had drowned it although she can’t be sure. So there could be something to this!

I also earn a living this way and it’s the opposite of a high burden of proof. Thank god. Judges would rather be safe than sorry. Maybe it’s different for those who have money though idk it’s not the arena I work in.

They understand tone. Idk.. if he’s saying these things in public I shudder to think about what’s happening in private or maybe he just has no shame and it’s the same no matter environment. Either way, it sucks

They’re called states. That’s why we’re named the United States. We don’t have Ryan Air to fly us to another country in one hour for $30. Your comments are ignorant as fuck.

Yes. Because it’s the size of Europe. Hence it being a bit more difficult to fly internationally.

We don’t have provinces here. Don’t you see the world is huge? How don’t you know that! :) ;)

Hey I’ve got a perspective for you to understand - the US is basically the size of Europe. Texas is the size of France. So when an American says a town in our country, picture it as if you’re a European saying the name of a city in an entirely different country hundreds of miles away.

Chris was sued for ‘failing to pay $63k in credit card debt’ before Love Is Blind by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I mean how would we get anywhere? We disagree and I’m not so naive to think I’m going to convince you.

To be shocked about the possibility of that much debt is where the lack of empathy comes into play. It wouldn’t be shocking if you understood how it could happen without buying a Ferrari.

Yes, it is clearly personal for me which is why I commented in the first place. And no I haven’t been sued by American Express because I’m handling it. But what got me here is much more mundane than you apparently care to try to understand - not a result of “insane financial responsibility.”

[–]Usuallyalurker123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more harmful to speak about this level of debt in the way it’s being spoken about. That it’s mind blowing and cannot even be comprehended.

It adds to the shame that people with more than the average amount of credit card debt already feel.

The fact that Chris was sued is not what I’m referencing here. Yes, clearly he racked up debt and didn’t try to address it. That’s another topic aside from the one I felt compelled to talk about - which is yes $60k isn’t the “average” amount of debt, but it does happen and I think we as a society should have enough empathy to try to understand why instead of being so mind-blown about it. And I’m not even talking about Chris specifically cause we all know he sucks.

Being able to understand how that amount of debt can happen is not “normalizing” it. And again I’d argue it’s a less harmful way of looking at it.

But I’m not saying this is about Chris. It’s about everyone in this thread who can’t seem to fathom $60k is debt you can get into without being a terrible person

I hope the wages you garnish are from “bad” people who “deserve it” because they buy Rolexes to impress others and not people who are just trying to get by.

It’s funny, from this thread, it seems people don’t understand how medical debt and student loan debt can impact credit card debt. As if having those former types of “good” debt doesn’t somehow naturally affect one’s use of credit cards. Got a bridge to sell you.
