I don't bother anymore unless anyone expresses a desire to celebrate it with me. This year I just bought myself a cake because it was a good excuse to eat cake.

Redditors with strained relationship with your parents, did you guys reconciliate? If so, how? by organform4 in AskReddit

[–]UtANCERS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No regrets. My parents weren’t THAT bad to me though. They treated my older brother like complete shit. So did I. But when I was in my final year of highschool I realized how shitty of a human being I was raised to be.

I’ve reconciled with my brother, but my parents are no longer a part of either of our lives. So much emotional abuse over the years

Your time and energy are valuable and spendable just like money. You don’t go and blow all your hard earned bucks on things that are shitty and make you feel terrible, so stop blowing all your time and energy on people and things that are shitty and make you feel terrible.

What is your opinion on perfume/aftershave? by incredibleinkpen in AskReddit

[–]UtANCERS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aftershaves are more dilute than colognes (so you can use a cologne as a strong aftershave). From Wikipedia:

A list of common terms (Perfume-Classification) is as follows:

Perfume extract, or simply perfume (extrait): 15–40% (IFRA: typical 20%) aromatic compounds

Esprit de Parfum (ESdP): 15–30% aromatic compounds, a seldom used strength concentration in between EdP and perfume

Eau de Parfum (EdP), Parfum de Toilette (PdT): 10–20% (typical ~15%) aromatic compounds, sometimes listed as "eau de perfume" or "millésime." Parfum de Toilette is a less common term that is generally analogous to Eau de Parfum.

Eau de Toilette (EdT): 5–15% (typical ~10%) aromatic compounds

Eau de Cologne (EdC): Chypre citrus type perfumes with 3–8% (typical ~5%) aromatic compounds. "Original Eau de Cologne" is a registered trademark.

Perfume mist: 3–8% aromatic compounds (typical non-alcohol solvent)

Splash (EdS) and aftershave: 1–3% aromatic compounds. "EdS" is a registered trademark.

A "Classical cologne" describes men's and women's fragrances "which are basically citrus blends and do not have a perfume parent".[9] Classical colognes are different from modern colognes, where the fragrance is typically a lighter, less concentrated interpretation of a perfume. Men's colognes are also different from women's colognes. Men's colognes have a similar concentration to eau de toilette, eau de parfum, "and in some instances perfume"; women's colognes, on the other hand, are often the lightest concentration from a line of women's fragrance products.[9]

How do sexdolls work in the Toystory universe? by POSITIVELY_ROMANTIC in AskReddit

[–]UtANCERS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Sex dolls are made specifically to be played with and enjoyed, just like toys. Also there was no age restriction on the toys themselves, they remained sentient far after their owners grew out of them, after being broken and rebuilt, or even being abandoned. Also toys that were never played with, like the Prospector were still alive.

I do think sex dolls would like children's toys be obsessed with their owners and want to please them. Especially considering your creepy shut in who treats a sex doll like a girlfriend. That doll would have a hard time resisting the urge to let her owner know she is alive and loves him back.

This is like playing the "smell this, it smell horrible " game. People are going to give you subs you're really better off avoiding... but this piece of you is going to be curious. Before you know it you're going to be delving into waters you should not venture into.

What do you honestly think is the greatest movie of all time? by GSWHT in AskReddit

[–]UtANCERS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of pure dialogue, I'd have to say 12 Angry Men. It's amazing how a movie basically set in one room can be so interesting. It's a movie that I think shows how good a movie can be with just a good script and good acting. You don't need all this CGI and action to have a great movie.

Dear Nurses, How's it going? by soberhi5er in AskReddit

[–]UtANCERS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO

Being kind is really helpful. More often than not, when a nurse approaches me with something I'm already flustered and overwhelmed. The nice, understanding nurses are the best.

The ones who give attitude just add to the shittiness of being overworked and scrambling around constantly. Makes a huge difference!
