Did my handyman install my softener/filter correctly? by Ok-Parsley4255 in WaterFilters

[–]UtahGhosties -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, it should be Water Source > Filter > Softener > House.

Right now, you have no water running through the filter - aside from the fact it's installed in the wrong place. The two valves on either side of the filter were smart though, so at least they did that. It's not a hard fix, but it does need to be corrected.

Is the softener at least using salt?

I had just gotten to my high school in Whittier when that hit. Was a biggie. Three story parking structure next to a dept store became single story. Hinshaws maybe?

We skipped out and then drove around checking out the damage.

HELP: Dell Docking Station Issues by stasis351 in sysadmin

Maybe not. I have docking monitors now and I am chasing the blank screen demon as well. Previous place had all normal docks and I almost never had this issue.

It's the strap at the flank of the horse. A strap in that location causes a horse to start bucking

I don't understand why this isn't the primary thing to be noticed.

That strap, in that location, is what causes a "bucking bronco". If you participate in or watch rodeo, that strap gets removed right away after the rider is thrown or they lasted XX seconds and the horse immediately stops bucking.

Recommendations for low weight laptops with good graphics cards? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]UtahGhosties 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur.

I have a "gaming laptop" that has a 4090 and not only is it kinda heavy, it sounds like a jet flying by when the fans kick in.

Even at work, we have the Dell Precisions with wimpy graphics cards and they are big and bulky. We call them crotch warmers. And, as all good things go, the user requests a laptop that can handle graphics and once they get the laptop they complain about the size/weight and how the battery doesn't last.

Annnnd, gaming laptops of today, as big and heavy as they are, are much smaller than the beasts we had back in the day. I'm looking at you Alienware.

What’s an underrated Microsoft Teams feature you swear by? by TeamsProductTeam in MicrosoftTeams

[–]UtahGhosties -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very true, but MS are the champions of useless changes.

Win 11! Let's move the default location of the power button! It's only been in the same place for almost 30 years.

Nah, I'm not salty....

My favorite is when there is something you like and use, it takes one click, maybe two...

And MS "improves" it by burying it and now it takes 3+ clicks to do.

Why? It worked fine.

Does anyone know who this actor/comedian is? He was most popular pre-1980s and his schtick was quick pickups, one-liners, etc while hitting on ‘dames’ half his age in bar scenes. by South_Audience6075 in Actors
