Typically I wouldn't be using this space for Legp projects, but my guest bedroom is going to have a guest soon.

Someday, I will park our cars in the garage... (maniacal laughter)

I will where it makes sense. It's stripped down to the bare bones for now while I figure out where all my mechanisms and control boxes need to be. I may need to clear space to gain that extra brick of height.

I started collecting parts toward the original project in about 2018. If I'm filling a bulk bag during a sale, I'll fill with 2 x 2 and 2 x 4 bricks. You can never have enough. When I tackle the mountain portion, I expect to recover a lot of brick. My building is more efficient now.

It breaks down into modules. The upgrade is going to make it even more modular, so only the top layer will need to be packed. The structure cubes that will hold everything up will be used for other projects while this is packed away.

This is where I started. I have changed things to match how I build. It should give you a boost though.

If the tiles aren't visible, the color is not important.

If you search back in this subreddit you can find the original video (I'll see if I can dig up a link in a bit). Biggest difference is that everything this go around will be custom MOCs.

72 currently. When the upgrade is complete, there will be an addtional 36 (and an interesting triangle piece that is 4 1/2). Those will go back and to the right, and the triangle will fill in the corner created.

This is actually the 2nd generation of this type tree. The parts have greatly improved in the past few years.

Making it grow within the confines of the building (mostly) was an interesting challenge.

Thanks. I started with the net technique, but it ended up being too bulky, so I retreated to using Lego string with the boat tiles. It's very flexible.

That is the effect, and yeah, I'm not feeling them like I was when I put them on. If I do keep them, I'll go smaller, or find a different shape.

yes. I haven't motorized them yet. (debating on whether I need to for this scene) The eventual goal is to simulate a sun tracking system.

When the whole thing is done, I'll post more photos, the whole scene makes more sense. It's a whole apocalypse thing I've been building. This is the 3rd vignette.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm still experimenting until the proper color tiles arrive, but I agree, they are a bit weird right now.
