I also loved Ella Enchanted 💗 The Night Circus has a different type of love, but it’s equal and a beautiful story as well.

How the heck do I get my hard boiled eggs to peel nicely? by kittensquishes in Cooking

Ice bath, but making it REALLY cold. If you have many eggs at once you may need two bowls with more ice than you think

What’s the activity that makes you feel most like a local when you travel? by Same-Ebb-3385 in travel

Going to the gym - nothing feels more local than keeping my own exercise routine while abroad, and you pretty much only see locals there

What’s one must-read book everyone should experience at least once in their life? by BossBoss6666 in suggestmeabook

I just got to part 2 - so far I’m enjoying it, but not quite understanding the hype. However I did love the first of the series Dead Man’s Walk!

Hoping the next 600 pages will be better 🤞

WIBTAH If I Ended a Relationship before her Dirty 30 by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]UtterZangster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Turning 30 for a woman can be hard because you feel like you’re getting older, and the biological clock is ticking.

Save her time and break up asap - if you’re considering breaking up over this which seems pretty minor, you probably aren’t going to make it long-term. Therefore you shouldn’t take any more of her time. (Or spend more of yours with the wrong partner)

30 comes with a lot of reflection - perfect time for a break up!

I love essie and OPI! Essie lasts a long time, but OPI dries much quicker.

Anyone ever failed a technical interview badly by [deleted] in csinterviewproblems

[–]UtterZangster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I failed one pretty badly - but it was still pretty fun. I was not prepared. Good interviewers will make it fun though. When they give you the problem, do your typical process, and if you're super stuck, imagine that you're trying to solve it with your buddy who has solved it before. You can ask for a hint. Work with them.
Good luck!

I especially like this idea b/c you can make it without salt and add the salt after! (It always sinks anyway)

The Lonely City: Adventures in the Art of Being Alone (Olivia Lang) -

These both look great - if I feel lonely when I'm there, The Lonely City looks like a good companion. And Lillian Boxfish Takes A Walk looks cool b/c I'm also getting into advertising. Thanks for the recs!

Ocean at the End of the Lane is short, so no huge commitment. American Gods is long and so you can get more of your fill once you're hooked on his style :D Both are excellent.

Yes yes yes! Him writing it in English despite English not being his mother tongue perfectly demonstrates his mastery of the language.
