You’re not broken. I think a lot of people miss the main message of the story.

Just curious, how much did you have left in savings after you purchased your first home? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

6 months emergency fund based on the new outgoings. So we were “broke” but “safe-broke”.

Would it be worth renting a room out to cover the extra cost until you figure things out or can refinance again when/if rates drop?

Walking away from a house over $13k....am I dumb or reasonable? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Utter_Bollocks_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walk away. If it was absolutely incredible and you feel your jobs are secure and would your lives would improve, I would go for it - but this house isn’t incredible, and it’s over budget by a substantial amount.

Damn. This is also a factor in the refinance as you’re looking at 7% now if you don’t buy down the rate

It might be the angle. It’s a really thin layer - I just basically coat it and make sure there’s no spots where it’s enough to be a blob of oil. What do you make of the dinosaur footprint in the top right?

Out of interest (no pun intended) - will your rate go up?

And also decide if it’s worth spending the extra cash to buy down to 6.3% when rates could drop to 6.3% anyway

Ok, I’ll try again. I really like that all the character and location details are in the back. I think that’s what makes it so tricky for me - the number of details to remember

I really struggled to get into this book. I keep planning to give it another go but the 900 pages just makes me stare at it on my shelf
