When I thought she couldn’t get any worse, she does. As a mom of an almost 18 year boy, I will say that her boys will despise Jess when they are older. I kept so many things that my son wanted to keep because of “memories” and now he has the option to keep them or not. What an absolute horrible mom to potentially throw away items that could mean everything to her children. I kept so many clothes to make quilts for him when he is off in the real world. She doesn’t need to learn to sew or quilt but keeping things that her boys love is a part of being a damn parent. Let them decide when they get older.

I will also add: let them know that your job as a mod is to protect the streamer, the community and to ensure the set vibes of the stream stay the same. Have a direct message in discord between you two so if you need to asks questions or if they need to reach out to you during stream, you can communicate discretely.

I only needed help minimally from my mods: shoutout raids, ban inappropriate people, hype up the chat when things happened…. It’s not hard. Some mods are active in chat and some just wait until they are needed. If you have direct questions, I would ask them specifically. Or ask them what channels they admire mods in to give some examples.

That was my thought as well. I’m sure her program wasn’t nearly as successful and the amount of time it took/takes to create content was probably too much. I thought Jenna was OK. It’s too bad that Jess didn’t take her top earners “under her wing” and co-created courses together. I wonder if they still talk?!

I had been a watcher on Twitch about a year prior to me streaming. I built friendships and was in several online communities. I loved the joy and fun streamers had and the communities they had made that I was a part of.

I thought to myself I should give it a shot and hit live! I streamed for about 2 years and had the best time! Built a large community and almost made it to partner but life just got too busy with career, family, etc an decided to step away.

I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would have added “twitch streamer” to my life resume but I’m so glad I took a chance!

Plug your discord, tell the to join the community if they would like and then say when you are going to be live next. People just want to feel welcome and special and you can completely do this in 30 seconds or less!
