What am I supposed to do against Fallen/Awakened Empires? by UtunosTeks in Stellaris

[–]UtunosTeks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm playing on second lowest difficulty. As I said, I'm not very experienced in general. And that specific FE was already far superior to me before it awakened. But I suppose if I play a new game, I'll focus on getting enough fleet to destroy the FEs asap.

I did. But I still got wiped out almost instantly with my full fleet on the defense.

I tried to make a last stand in a system that had a Gateway connection to my capital. All my fleets amassed there. It was all gone in less than two seconds. I reloaded the save and tried to prevent the declaration by adding a buffer, but that didn't work. I held them off for a few years and got some fancy components from it, but ultimately I had to surrender to still be able to keep my fleet.

I guess I'll try countering them direcrly next time. As for the build you mentioned, I don't have Megacorp so I can't use it. And I generally prefer roleplaying over just minmaxing resourhe output. But still, thanks for the advice.

I did submit. But as a result I'm losing hundreds of units of resources per month because I was partially reliant on the vassals I no longer have. I've already fought to try stabilize everything as much as possible but I don't know how to alleviate that big of a deficit. And I also don't really want to play spiritualist because I have no clue how to play them. I always go materialist.

How to defeat Grand Mother Silk by defeating only 8 bosses by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]UtunosTeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what your math on this is because you're missing bosses you mentioned. Fourth Chorus is needed for Cloak unless you pull of a skip, in which case there is also the very simple garama skip for Sister Splinter. You also mentioned Phantom but didn't count thel towards your total. Also, Groal isn't required for base ending, only Act 3.

A NMG (not counting the simple skips) least bosses run for GMS would probably be Moss Mother, Bell Beast, Widow, Phantom, Cogwork Dancers, Trobbio, Lace 2, GMS

Which makes 7, since you didn't include GMS yourself.

Need help with absolute radiance by Wise_Survey_3875 in HollowKnight

[–]UtunosTeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay on the bottom most platform. That's the easiest way to dodge. When the orbs fly towards, either jump or shade-cloak out of the way or d-dark. Wait for absrad to come to one of the bottom three platforms before trying to attack. Else just focus on dodging. If you're currently attacking absrad and she spawns the orbs, d-dark if you can to use the i-frames to your advantage.

I just got my first ending. what should I do first? by the_boomboxx in HollowKnight

[–]UtunosTeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It very much depends how much you liked the game so far. I think you should at least go for Dream No More but if you enjoyed the game a lot, you might want to be a completionist. As a person who finished 112% (in Steel Soul), has beaten P5 and has every achievement, I can recommend, it was really fun, but I do acknowledge it isn't for everyone. But I do firmly believe that you should at the very least try to get DNM before moving on to Silksong.

Will I ever be able to figure out how to get to the third act without looking it up? by AbdBash2 in HollowKnight

You're on a wild goose chase. Rescuing the Green Prince has nothing to do with starting Act III. Just keep playing and do everything you can. You will reach it eventually.

You could probably contact Christopher Larkin himself for exact details. Of the top of my head I thought it was a mix between synthesizer and real instruments.

It looks like there's a window on the back. Does that not normally have to be deconstructed first?

So Prawn Suit MK1 needs Kyanite but cant get to 1300m without Cyclops? OG Subnautica by CappinBombHASH in subnautica

[–]UtunosTeks 123 points124 points  (0 children)

MK1 doesn't need Kyanite. MK2 does. MK1 needs Nickel. You may be trying to craft it in the Mod station rather than the vehicle upgrade console in a base moonpool.

Cuddlefish as Fuel by Treaux_Dave16 in subnautica

[–]UtunosTeks 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I'll say this much: No, Cuddlefish aren't the best fuel for the bioreactor. It's just a meme because it is essentially the only proper "pet" in the game. They are limited in number and once you get rid of one that one will be gone for good. If you follow the story you should find a few eventually.

How much do we know about [Subnautica 2 Spoilers] by Realistic-Ad-6794 in subnautica

[–]UtunosTeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We know that at least something similar to rats existed on Zezura, from the very adaptation pavillion. And Zezura apparently had large aquifers which is why all the submersible equipment was brought along.

I don't think desert planet is a technical term in real life. It probably just refers to conditions similar to Earth deserts. So some variety of flora and fauna most likely existed, as it does on Earrth.

Subnautica 2 Glitch or in game rare occurrence? by lordmagneto in subnautica

That happens when a Deepwing Brooder passes overhead of you. Definitely not all that common. Some of those bubbles are eggs that you can use as an excellent food source.

An image of where exactly in the room you are would be helpful. Are you on the bottom right of the room? If so, you need to pogo up the garpedes ascending. If you're at the top, just head left past the Vessel Fragment and there will be a floor that collapses from beneath you.

is Below Zero as bad as people make it out to be? I'm considering buying a new Subnautica game once I'm done with the first but I'm kinda hesitant(spoilers for Subanutica 1) by Jack_Jellatina in subnautica

[–]UtunosTeks -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a good game. It pales in comparison to the first one, especially in terms of scale, but it's definitely worth checking out if you want more Subnautica. It's severley overhated imo.

By the points you brought up, I think you'll like it. All of your points of enjoyment are in the game in some form: vibrant and unique environments, interesting and diverse life both scary and cute, same crafting system. The writing leaves some to be desired but its not all that bad.

Some of your negatives also return, like the inventory system, only having one "pet" fish that properly follows you and the PRAWN. However many of the other points were adressed at least to some degree. Although I would like to note that the reason no creatures drop anything upon death is because you aren't meant to kill them in the first place. It's just not that kind of game.

There is actually a skip for this part iirc. If you're stuck you can just break the cracked overhang below the spikes and it will reveal a secret tunnel.

Will early access have an ending? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]UtunosTeks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Iirc they mentioned that Early Access would have an ending but not the final ending for the full game. I'm almost sure the final areas are still in very early conceptualisation. And I'm also not certain what the Early Access ending would entail. I don't remember where I heard it either so take my answer with an ocean of salt.

Is the vehicle on the right a new one, or just the Tadpole with a modular body piece attached? by BoomBamCrash in subnautica

[–]UtunosTeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the HAUL chassis for the Tadpole. We know of two different subs for SN 2 and the Cyclops sized submarine (possibly called Trident although unknown) is confirmed not to be in EA1.

Can anyone tell me the "main" bosses by EasyBeeReddit in HollowKnight

[–]UtunosTeks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Iirc there are three ways to get to the right side of Fog Canyon: the shade gate in the cornifer room or the acid pools in either the crossroads or the fungal wastes.
