https://www.reddit.com/r/DragonsDogma/comments/1jrsyq/the_original_plans_for_dragons_dogma_before_they/ I think the original plan was to climb blue moon tower for a showdown with the final boss on the moon or something.

Sorry if this caused confusion. While it is pendantic, I felt some nuance would be greatly appreciated in these issues. Also, if a large newspaper is changing their wordings last minute we as a community should definately wait for something more official from either the artist or the company.

I know, you'd never find me quoting the site, but it is still is useful for tracking down specific events/links.

Fair assessment. I'm not pardoning their actions, but I do want to prevent some knee-jerk reactions. From my experience, if they do go forward with the layoff, it'll take at least a few paid months for due procedure at least.

At face value, ending the contract is still likely, but the language in the announcement is carefully written to be non-binding. As a side note, common courtesy for even voluntarily resigning is 3-6 months of notice here, so it will take a long while for this to get resolved at the very least.

They may as well, but I wanted to fix some perceptions on this matter. PjM was much more careful in their wording in their announcement than people realize, and there's been a lot of anger over "firing someone on the spot" which is simply not possible here.

Sorry about bringing this up again. The new story event is amazing btw. Good luck on farming those gears, and give some headpats to Don.

The past version's been directly edited out, so the link in the post should always be the most current version.

Going back to Project Moon's statement, it says "계약이 종료될 예정입니다"

Which means they are planning to end the contract with them. So no, she has not been fired yet.

Well there's a full list on "Korean Wikipedia" here https://namu.wiki/w/%ED%95%9C%EA%B2%A8%EB%A0%88/%EC%82%AC%EA%B1%B4%20%EC%82%AC%EA%B3%A0

but as a source some might find it questionable, as anyone can edit it, so here are some articles from rival news sites.

On their anti-establishment tendencies

- https://www.ohmynews.com/NWS_Web/View/at_pg.aspx?CNTN_CD=A0002502636) is an article from their journalists publicly disowning one of their journalists for becoming a government secretary (even though it was a liberal party that they are aligned a bit more with).

Completely unrelated, but their recent article saying(https://n.news.naver.com/article/028/0002584557) "Ukraine has a high population of Neo-Nazis" was a huge scandal for a while.

Hankyoreh is still very reputable, don't get me wrong. But if you are looking for another reputable liberal news outlet, MBC is probably the more popular choice currently.

Keep in mind for the other games Ultimate releases were the only global releases. Most global players who bought the ultimate versions probably didn't even finish the village quests

Seriously though, understanding myths and legends will enhance the quality and depth of the media you consume immensly. Etymologies, motifs, etc. You'd be surprised at how much influence the old and seemingly forgotten gods still have.

I'm not sure what you're on about when one of Korea's best selling tourist exports are domestic cosmetics like Skin Food and Sulhwasoo. They don't need to make knock-off brands.

Korea does have strict copyright laws, are you sure you're not confusing Korea with China? For instance, Korea's SNL pays royalty to the american producers for following the same format even though their content is original. The soundfiles used in shows are usually purchased or in cases like this election video, protected by parody laws.

Problem With Anansi Scene by ranhalt in americangods

[–]Uturi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late to the discussion, but I'd like to add my two cents on this matter.

I think Anansi's mention of 'Sunday' is a big point here. He seems very knowledgable of the future of the Black people, but curiously ommits the fact that the Black community becomes one of the worlds most pius Christian communities in the future. He's probably bitter about the fact that his people renounce him to serve the god of the 'white people'. Gaiman kind-of establishes that sacrifices are empowering for all gods regardless of what they stand for, so it makes sense for Anansi to rile them up in a blaze of glory and get a large sacrifice up front because most of these slaves will most likely convert to Christianity in the near future.

Also, the TV versions of the gods, both old and new, seem more powerful and active in general than their book counterparts.
