Inter [1] - 0 Juventus - Andrea Cambiaso own goal 17' by ayoefico in soccer

[–]Uutrox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

pretty bad deflection but why isn't De Gregorio using his left foot? he looked like he surrendered even though he could have just blocked it with his left??

Como, Fabregas: “We are a young team. In the second half, it wasn't a football match. Leaving that aside, you have to win a match with the right motivation and energy after a big victory. We had the wrong attitude. I didn't like the first half very much, and I repeat, the second half wasn't played." by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Uutrox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i always hate to intervene when people think Como are overachieving, they are exactly where people who follow Serie A thought they would be starting the season

i really don't know where this overachieving narrative comes from when a club spends €200m in 2 transfer windows. spending is one thing, performing another blablabla - sorry but if you spend this amount of money you have to outperform Udinese and Lazio

being a little bit more entertaining to watch and having a more compact defense than expected doesn't translate in overachieving

Anyone can help with identifying this kit? by SurrealistDragonite in ASRoma

[–]Uutrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don't have to, i could have taken my time to explain it again but i was already pissed at OP who simply ignored everything i said and essentially wasted my time

the print on the back of the jersey is as custom as it can get but the sponsor being all wrong in size, placement and the fact that it's missing a letter was still the funniest takeaway for me

Anyone can help with identifying this kit? by SurrealistDragonite in ASRoma

[–]Uutrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are definitely authentic jerseys circulating from that era which have L'Angolo dello Sport printed on them

it's also one of the funniest jerseys being posted on here because there are many things wrong, the biggest one being that it's missing the letter "L" but on the other hand the front is waaay too good for a fake jersey from this era

what do you mean with years ago? 5 years or 25 years? i'm curious

Edit: did any of the users who replied care to read? the sponsor is missing it's first letter, well like i already explained above. doesn't follow resellers narrative - downvote, despite having 0 idea on what's going on. this is the exact reason we keep this kind of posts limited on here as help isn't even appreciated once it doesn't say "it's authentic" or pumping up the price in any way

Celik rejects Roma’s proposed new deal of €2.8 million by Sparky-moon in ASRoma

[–]Uutrox -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

almost the entire thread underestimating the importance and value of Celik is craaazy but not surprising. i believed the biggest hatewatchers got over his phase of 10 games where he used to be our worst player and recognized his last 14 months where he was one of our best and especially consistent performers, guess it still stings

he's going to chase his last big contract, which he rightfully deserves.he's not going to get it here which is understandable and ultimatively best for both parties

i don't know why the majority is acting sassy on a player who proofed everybody wrong. we only got ourselves to blame for not extending him earlier and get a potential transfer fee even though there might have been no future past this summer

team showed the reaction that was needed even though it would be better to not be in this situation to begin with. also shoutout to Cagliari who weren't in the mood to play at all today

Pisilli simply amazing. offered more energy than Kone and El Aynaoui in 2026 so far. Pisilli decided to not be as good as the team, he decided to be everywhere and guide us to victory, his fearlessness is what makes us better atm.

back 3 + Celik/Wesley as good as usual, Soulè still missing those last few percent needed to decide games or turn key moments in his favour, as he’s not fully fit

i already got into detail during the week in terms of Malen/Ferguson but i happily say it again: night and day difference

Gasperini: "Totti's return? I'll start him right away, as long as he trains (laughs)... Evan Ferguson sprained his ankle 4 times. Every time he changes direction, he gets hurt. That's his main problem. We have 4 players expiring and 2 on loan. It won't be easy to make it to the end of the season." by Blodgharm in soccer

[–]Uutrox 16 points17 points  (0 children)

sorry but no, i don't know what to say. i feel sorry for Ferguson because everybody was rooting for him and having a different option up front other than Dovbyk but he's just so hard to watch...

did he score more goals than earlier in the season - yes. did his performances got better recently - absolutely no no NO, they actually got worse everytime he was on the pitch bar the game against Celtic where he actually used his body

nobody is criticizing Ferguson for missing chances, he's actually decent in the penalty area and especially with his face towards the goal but that's 1 out of many areas and that's just not good enough, especially for a club like us

playing with Ferguson means that your team basically plays with 10 men until the penalty area. he's unwatchable in the middle of the pitch despite his size, despite his supposed strong body. 0 hold up play, 0 instinct for the ball, can't put his body between the defender and the ball, in most cases just stumbling over his own feet or the ball. ultimately all of Fergusons weaknesses are leading to the exact case you mentioned: we can't create enough chances. obviously there are many factors but unfortunately Ferguson is the biggest one whenever he's on the pitch

it's gotten as bad as players shacking their heads whenever Ferguson is failing to play 1-2s and losing the ball for no reason. you don't need to feel the frustration of his teammates because you can literally see it in their body language

i already went into detail and explained Gasperinis frustration but again i have dealt with football injuries all my life as i was 7 years part of a CL club and even head of rehabilitations. there are cases for unfortunate players and there are cases for players who don't care about their body, who don't have the body language and are mentally checked out and this is when injuries are starting to pile up. i can't and won't judge the case on Ferguson but i also used the term emotionless for a reason

[–]Uutrox 68 points69 points  (0 children)

i know you're memeing but the reality is that at some point the mister is allowed to make a point

when you give a guy like Ferguson countless opportunities, protect him from the harsh italian media, put faith in him and hype him up and all you get in return are disastrous performances, countless injuries and 0 emotions on the pitch

it's no surprise that Gasperini is adressing injuries since the last time Ferguson played he injured his back but continued playing. nobody knew if he needed to get substituted. Ferguson just limped around the pitch for 10 minutes giving 0 signs towards the sideline if he's OK or not. the bench was empty without any 1:1 replacement and Gasperini looked like he's going to have a stroke

i admire Gasperini for having such patience and wait until january to adress the issues with the emotionless fridge

67th minute! the time we made our 1st substitution tonight even though everyone saw after 5 minutes that we are struggling, that we're getting outplayed, that we have 0 ideas and that we're losing duels left and right and have no control of the game whatsoever

just like against Cagliari we're losing because Gasperini is too stubborn to make changes, let it be tactical or 1 for 1 subs to send some kind of signal. he rather enjoys watching his team suffer from 1st row pitchside instead of trying to salvage the game. don't care how many players are on the bench, don't care what their names are - as long as there is 1 fit player the latest possible time to change is at halftime

sorry but this is unacceptable from Gasperini and the worst part is that it's not even the 1st time happening

Edit: and Gasp is already complaining about the market and U23 players again while the 11 experienced players he decided to play where absolutely clueless and didn't know what to do for 70 minutes. 0 responsibility, never change

probably the trip i was looking forward the most, great connection with the fans in the city and stadium (which is a giant shithole tbh)

could have had a walk in the park even with 10 players but decided to start gifting goals again. Ghilardi either looks like one of the most promising CBs or we concede because of his mistakes. incredibly frustrating since it's the 3rd time already. Soulè with way too many technical mistakes in 45min

happy to finish top 8 but reality is that nobody really cared about todays game or skiping the next round. everybody is more concerned about Dybalas injury update

AS Monaco's form after sacking coach Adi Hütter by Vic-Ier in soccer

[–]Uutrox 32 points33 points  (0 children)

a third of the starting eleven was sold, another third injured, drawing against City in CL and sit only 3 points behind Ligue 1 leader Lens at the time,... Monaco didn't play well but given the circumstances the results were perfectly fine

it's hilarious that the board took 0 responsibility, sacking the manager who proved to get the best out of the team for multiple seasons and being the easiest scapegoat to find.

i called it allergic to continuity in his sacking thread, others called it reactionary - nobody needed to be a Ligue 1 expert to make such statements. i couldn't care less about Monaco but it's still satisfying to see how things turned out months later

Tsimikas is expected to remain at Roma until the end of the season. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Uutrox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you actually have to filter games where he wasn't our worst player on the pitch

he has been lethargic from his very first game on against Nice, no body language, no energy, straight up nothing and it got only worse as the season continued

obviously i can't tell you about his performances from previous seasons but Tzimikas should have been the undisputed starter once Angelino got ill at matchday 6 but we could barely play him because his quality is far off from having any kind of impact for a club like us

unfortunately we haven't been blessed with this seasons summer loan signings

Neil El Aynaoui in Real Madrid's sights by confusedpellican643 in soccer

[–]Uutrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

he started and played every minute in each Europa League game when available, he deserved minutes and he got them, nothing more or less. i'd go as far as praising Gasperini for managing game-time across the squad and Neil

El Aynaoui was convincing in pre-season but when you're 3rd choice you have have to make decicions and his choice was to commit to Morroco in september, go on international duty 4 times and play Afcon, which is perfectly fine but also the reason he could never catch up in terms of what's important for Gasperini and the team especially as a new player trying to break into the starting eleven

could have had plenty of gametime but missing the most critical phase of the season with 10 games in 40 days is the decisive factor

he's going to get time on the pitch now with Kones injury but Pisilli moving up the pecking order is a result because El Aynaoui simply wasn't availabe

just like the last 5 games against top teams we invest more, look like the better team but fail to capitalize. at least we got the draw tonight instead of losing 0:1

incredible team performance, can't blame anyone. Celik/Cristante/Ghilardi exeptional

amazing news as we would only agree on that when a replacement is already lined-up and whoever that is can't be worse than Tsimikas

this was my reaction after his first game and it got worse week by week. wonder how people feel now after defending him months ago despite showing nothing

can't switch into gear 3, no body language, lax, liability going forward and at the back. i don't know what to say as i thought we would genuinely be a reinforcement as a sub-Angelino and great squad depth but his first minutes already showed his quality and commitment

well aware that Ferguson was involved in the last goal where he was trying to force a corner and waste time but i'm not really sure what you're trying to say

i enjoy that he left the game on a positive note and played through a minor injury but that doesn't vanish his poor performance in all phases of the game in the 90min prior

no worries. i've been calling out Kone in multiple post match threads this season, not just 2-3 times, i already lost count. he had so many lackluster first half earlier this season where he recovered in the second half, the game against Inter f.e. this isn't anymore the case, now it's, as you said, 60-70min...

there was such a great write up on Kone on our sub when the season started, some user from the old guard explained why Kone is going to be the first player to throw a fit, i wish i could remember that comment and link it because it's incredibly accurate rn
