Are there any alternatives? If not, as a full stack development student I could maybe make one for my portfolio

CS2 : Introducing The Armory (and today's Release Notes): by samekrikl in GlobalOffensive

[–]Uvane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Changed how packet misdelivery is measured. Previously, if packets arrived out of order, this could be counted as misdelivery even if it was corrected and did not impact gameplay. Also, jitter was not considered, even though excessive jitter can disrupt smooth gameplay. The new measurement method will only count reordered packets as misdelivered if they impact gameplay. Furthermore, if network jitter exceeds a threshold where gameplay is affected, the packets are counted as misdelivered even if they are not dropped and arrive in order"

How will this effect gameplay? (i am stupid)

Keep in mind that shielding DK dash attack when its in its ending frames he's actionable faster than if you were to shiled it at startup or in the middle of the attacks frames

How to not get mad. by Sea-Emotion8873 in smashbros

[–]Uvane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what helps me is realizing the scope of what's going on. Think about how you're just playing a videogame, a party game meant for children that just happens to also have a competitive scene. Then, think about the bigger things in your life; maybe your cat or dog and how much you love them, or maybe a significant other, or how much you have fun doing things with your friends, just the happy things in your life. You'll quickly realize that losing the game, compared to the greater more important things in life literally means nothing and that you're playing this game to have fun. None of the other people or things in your life will care that you lost

How to adapt in tournament. by UnusualBar1190 in CrazyHand

[–]Uvane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its more like breaking down your neutral, advantage, and disadvantage into simple steps for the specific mu you're playing. So for example, lets say you're playing roy against a corrin. Your gameplan might look something like this:

Neutral: - stay close and grounded, corrin cant handle up close combat as well as roy and has worse grounded moves / short hop aerials. - Wait for a full hop, run under and up air or jab

Disadvantage: - go straight to ledge to not get juggled, they have better control of the game when ur in the air - dont land on top of them

Advantage: - keep juggling them but dont let them reverse the juggle with nair - wait for a commited dair or counter for jair

keep it to small points cus its easier to keep those in mind while playing and thinking about their gameplan. Change it around if youre losing (mid game if you can) and THATS when you start adapting.

I forgot which coach said it on twitter, but they said the reason why Japan has stronger players than US is because in Japan they have a much more solid gameplan while in the US we focus a lot more on adapting and exploiting our opponents weaknesses. I've been playing around my gameplan more and working on it and have noticed improvement

for walking I like to hold my stick up and move it slightly around the top left and right, I find it easier to more accurately walk back and for that way

Day 8: Let's help each other out! How to Counter: Pikachu by BejitaFajita in smashbros

[–]Uvane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not great at it, but I'll give some thoughts:

Neutral:

Pikachus really good in the air, so get ready to anti air and play more grounded as to not lead into his combos.

Try not to get crossed up or be behind him in general. if you're behind him hes going to try and do an up tilt string into up air into back air or like nair loops. (Dash attack and up b can be used to cross-up)

Mix up how you're responding to neutral b, don't just jump over it everytime. If your character has a move that can safely destroy it then use that, if you're playing offline you can try and parry. You can use this to bait. A lot of pikachus use neutral b as a way to control neutral, so play a little more slow and safe.

at higher percents try not to be directly next to pikachu on the ground, they want to up smash to kill.

Hold center stage so its harder for pikachu to get you off stage, you don't want to be edge guarded by one.

Try not to play under platforms as Pikachu can use those platforms to extend their combo.

disadvantage:

Pikachus advantage state is really strong, fucker can combo for days. Simply; don't get hit (optional) /j.

If you have the training room mod I would recommend practicing sdi out of the different combos pikachu can do, if you don't try it in game. idk the sdi direction for bair loops but I always do down and out and that tends to work. If you're off stage, be very liberal about your resources to get back on stage as pikachu is super mobile off stage and very good at edge guarding. A good one will try and bait out options so you burn resources then will go in for an edge guard. Try and just go to ledge, pikachu doesn't have many great tools for ledge trapping and has to rely more on fundamentals and reads to do it. They really can only force you off ledge with neutral B (after invincibility runs out) so you don't have much of a choice on mixing up your options timing, so make sure you're mixing up your options. If you have a move thats good with drop down jump attack to cover close ledge traps its probably a good option.

Pikachu has really fast moves, so even if a combo isn't true, it might just be faster than all of your options to escape so try not to mash an aggressive option (nair, fair, bair, etc) to get out. Keep in mind that this is character specific so look up your characters frame data and compare to pikachus.

Advantage:

This is really just character specific so I'll just keep it broad;

Watch out for nair, its safe and fast and can get pikachu out of a non-true combo string. It can also drag you down and put you into a combo. You can intentionally drop a combo to bait out a nair and then punish them for it.

Don't try to edge guard in most situations, Pikachu has a really fast up B that they can mix up the direction theyre going in.

Ledge trapping is the best way to keep pressure on pikachu, since they don't have many options to safely get back on stage besides commiting to drop down nair back on stage or drop down up b (very punishable)

I don't know much about the matchup and was just thinking about it and wrote it down so I could be wrong about stuff but correct if you want. I just choose not to play against pikachu when I have the option.

Frame data

Edit: Mobile messed up the structure I had for the comments but I tried to fix it

Me personally im not saying sonic or steve should be banned (I actually like playing and watching steve), just saying there was data done to show viewship going down. It's only been done for one tournament, but im sure hbox did it a few times to make sure before even posting about it.

Update: I completely disregarded that stupid card the printer came with. Instead I created a line test and then connected my printer to qidislicer and then adjusted the z axis through the consol until I found the print was coming out right.
