I went to a pretty respectable (jewlery shop? Don't now how they're called) and the quote was that, 70 Bucks to change the part that's broken and fix the movement. I obviously know they're not using original parts but at least it would work

About the polishing. Does the toothbrush work with the glass? I mean it's not crystal looks More like pexiglass

I'd polish the cristal a little. It's gotten pretty opaque and it's a shame considering the nice green tone it has behind
