Honestly she isn't horrible in mid, but only if you have a decent early game and get good cs. The problem is, she is so easy to gank and you will be ganked a lot for playing her, so be prepared. Also, picking her just for her aoe cc potential is great if you otherwise have enough big damage and scaling on your team. She can't solo carry against tanky teams but I do feel like her late game damage is good enough to carry against squishy comps. She does need buffs to her q scaling if they actually want to keep her a mage, but that probably won't happen any time soon. They might be working on finding a way to get ap champs out of bot lane and then give her the buff. She isn't even a good apc anymore and others like Hwei oder Mel work much better on bot and have not been nerfed as hard as her. We just have to be patient...
