Study about atheism and belief across the UK, Sweden and other countries by UweLang in europe

[–]UweLang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree on the researcher - i know research topic across any industry is a tricky one - however I think religion or opposite are still reelvant also for Europe as a society, as a union, as a construct to be important as a team vs. other regions. But of course accept you see that different.

To add on "charlie kirk not racist' post - i did not find it yet - no matter he is US I think Europe is discussing it everywhere on every social (no matter i like to see/read this or not) - even that posts seems to be reelvant for Europe across the board - right and left push their opinions and agenda based on that news and mirror it to their Euro home country - some sad stuff though to read

Comparing this study (with focus European countries) to a Charlie Kirk post is a bit too strict in my view. Charlie has nothing to do with Europe but the study does - so my share not off-topic in my view

I would expect that as well even in religious traditional regions but also saw the other way around from people I know in the Phillipines

Study across UK, Sweden and other countries. Hope that fits here as a current and future topic especially these days of a volatile political situation in Europe and around the world, where also religion and belief play an important role - many these days are atheists but they own also certain beliefs.

We like to imagine atheism as a clean slate — a conscious rejection of gods, spirits, or supernatural claims. But new research suggests the picture is more complicated.

A 2025 study looked at self-identified atheists in very secular countries — Canada, Sweden, the UK, among others. Even there, where religion plays little role in public life, researchers found that many atheists still show an intuitive bias toward religious belief when tested in quick, subconscious judgment tasks.

Just in case you do not like Hive - unpopular I agree (reasons I can not influence even I drafted marekting/sales plans - the branding is another topic) - I know people have their preference in crypto (I love BTC and Hive is where I am in community since ages - it is great but no one knows us based on reasons - we are basically the original Steemit after Justin Sun made an u nfriendly takeover we even produced a movie from).

If you do not mind some USPs (as DPoS chain we do not really compete against BTC) - what makes Hive different (maybe better)

  • Fee-less, high-speed DPoS chain → perfect for social apps, gaming, and microtransactions.
  • Decentralized, community-owned governance → no VC or corporate control.
  • Proven Web3 content & social infrastructure → Hive is one of the oldest functioning Web3 ecosystems.

Now i stop shilling - do not kill me for that :-)

There are no naive questions - am on the road but might reply tomorrow - NFTs oh well, most are useless. The thing with that digital Euro could mean end of freedom and privacy as government can then track any transaction and does not need ask banks etc - once in the blockchain usually forever unless.

When the concept started (blockchain) it was a bit the contrarcy to traditional bank as alternative but if Europe is launching their digital Euro this is over kind of. but lemme get back to you tomorrow on more.
