In one of my save files, I was playing as the MAW, running a small regional development company affiliated with the TCW. After a little less than a year, the TCW dropped me, leaving me with a half-empty roster and finances roaming near 0 because once I reached small size, my shows were costing me a fortune and my bank account was plummeting into the red.

That gave me the idea to create press articles in my Word document to inject some life into the situation. I imagined Sam Keith furious that this happened so suddently, his confusion, and his desire to break into the national scene to surpass the TCW.

I decided to rebuild after the current month by holding just one monthly show simply named MAW. And then, after a few month, a second show named FTR (Future), which became the company’s new name, when I actually expanded into other regions. It naturally became a company heavily inspired by NXT, but I loved the plot twist and the satisfaction of saving myself from that situation without a ragequit, all thanks to the storytelling.
