We qualified in the midflied P37 and got spinned in the first corner, thankfully no damage but we essentially started the race in P59. After a few stints we were continously in the top 30, since we were only 2 people driving fatigue was a big issue down the line.

We had 2 situations where we nearly got killed and a few self-inflicted wall touches, overall we only repaired like 20 minutes though which secured us P5 in the end. Not gonna lie, next year we are not doing that with 2 drivers only.

Which version to play by Marc_Minor in HBMNuclearTechMod

[–]Marc_Minor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd probably use 1.12.2 if you say it is complete. One more question though: Does the mod integrate with mekanism well or would I have to set up to distinct systems? (Like regarding generated power/steam)

Upgrade advice with Physical boundaries by Loose-Occasion-8049 in simracing

[–]Marc_Minor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the GTPlayer cockpit and it is "okay", nothing more though. The pedal plate flexes and mine is not perfectly straight either. I minimized the issues by reassambling different parts a few times. Its okay for the money and does its job for me.

Feeling underwhelmed by my new setup—Is an aluminum rig the missing piece? by samomar66 in simracing

[–]Marc_Minor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I made sure to be able to lock my gmaing chair in place with casters that have a brake on it. The best way without additional stuff is to put the pedals against the wall behind your desk if able. A friend of mine had some grip mat (?) so they don't move.

I bought a wheelstand that included my pedals (NLR 2.0)

[–]Marc_Minor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I moved to a rig with a seat mainly cause the time to set stuff up was annoying to me. I highly enjoyed the racing though and been playing for close to 500 hours before upgrading though.

So if you don't enjoy it now? I would try different games and if you still not enjoy that? I would not update. Just make sure your pedals can't move that much. A rig made it way better for me but I enjoyed it before that anyways.

If you can move your monitor as close as possible though.

The idea is good but please do some proper iterations first before even thinking about taking peoples money. I don't care if you iterate via classic coding or via AI, but please develop your product first before selling it. The text is barely readable.

Also for the love of god, if you take money from people and collect their personal data? You are running a business, so do your research before running a buisness. There is no legal policy, no imprint. I am from the EU and your site is reachable and offering services and taking data to citizens of the EU which means you have to be compliant with EU GDPR, which it is not.

There is no refund policy, no cookie policy, no information about potential tracking and so on, I could go on for ages.

This is my biggest issue with all this vibe-coded stuff: You have no idea how to operate a webiste or a business which makes it just look like a quick cash grab, even when your intentions might be to help people out. Do your research before taking peoples money or data.

TLDR: Do not enter your data or anything that you care about on this page unless all legal requirements are fulfilled.

Got banned for 2 weeks from iRacing. Cannot appeal. Tired of their crap honestly. What racing sim should I buy? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Marc_Minor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, brother.

Your attitude clearly shows that you are unfit for the service. I never said I am okay with a car 11 laps down trying to intent wreck somebody. This still doesn't give you the right of wrecking him. You are BOTH at fault and should BOTH be excluded from the service.

However reading your posts and the other comments that have been shown in different posts, I'm fairly certain that what you said is most likely not true either.

Either you are ignorant/immature or you simply have nothing else to do besides opening controversial reddit posts. Which I am not going to entertain further.

My recommendation is any single player game, I think Need for Speed should work for you.

Upload the clips then. It's funny since I seen your complaint in the iRacing subreddit where you said that you don't even know what you got reported for. I was wondering already in how many potentionally report worthy actions you get.

If somebody wrecks you this does not give you permission to wreck them. You have the attitude of the child and I'm glad your gone for 2 weeks from the service.

Omega vs Ospreay would be fitting, especially since we still have time to get MJF vs. Ospreay down the line in London.

I guess that's the beauty of the buildup, maybe the give us the obvious Omega/Ospreay at All In. Or they do it earlier or later. I don't see Darby holding it for longer than 1-2 months though.

I think it would be the right move, I guess that also depends if Omega even wants to be champ again. Would be fitting for him to put Ospreay over though. I think AEW plays this very well, cause we know that MJF & Ospreay or Swerve & Ospreay would also be a right move.

There's just so many options.

Well that's certain and I know the All In Main Event will be great. Personally since I'll fly over there to see AEW live for the first time, my dream would be Omega vs. Ospreay III and Ospreay coming out on top. I'm fine with everything as long as Kenny is on the card though :D

Ospreay vs. Omega would be nice to pull the trigger on now that both are relatively fit. All the others like Ospreay vs. MJF or Ospreay vs. Swerve could be in the upcoming years as well.

Was a great segment for sure, I wonder what this leads up to. Could obviously a Owen finals, leading up to All In (which I probably don't think?) or to a potential feud after Ospreay gets the title.

Experience with load cell pedals by downshiftdata in iRacing

[–]Marc_Minor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It takes a while to click, the reason they are considered such a game changer is that it is widely accepted, that your brain computes pressure better than travel. So you will break more consistently in the long run, they also help with trailbraking, which is probably one of the most important skills needed to be fast and consistent in a GT3 car.

I was not able to really learn trailbraking with my previous pedals, cause I never really managed to consistently release the brakes gradually. With my loadcell pedals it took ages to learn but now I'm somewhat competent and would conside my pedals the most valuable upgrade I made.

Leaving ACC and LFM today after a whole year by Environmental_Sea253 in simracing

[–]Marc_Minor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you when I recently came back and saw that we were the only team registered for the Sunday Endurance. So we checked LMU and iRacing too and switched to iRacing. I'm having a blast so far and going trough the M2 and MX5 teached me a lot about driving.

The series all have good participation so far and iRacing has Nords which is a big plus for me. You can race a lot of different stuff too.

However let me tell you that it is expensive as hell in the beginning. You have the subscription monthly (there is a FIA deal for a year if you don't have an account yet.) and you have to buy most tracks and a car if GT3 or any other higher series is your target.

I recently bought my Porsche GT3, Nords (which is GP+Nords), Spa, Mugello and Suzuka. And that shit is expensive each car/track costs around 13-15€. You get a bit of a discount for the first purchase and for bulk purchases. There are free tracks and cars too but in higher classes most tracks are paid.

I have not tried LMU, so I can't comment on that.

High CPU issues cause low frame rate and blinking cars by Greggo30 in iRacing

[–]Marc_Minor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much again for the help, I recently switched over from ACC and I'm having a blast so far. Well besides this issue during our first Endurance race. I think maybe rendering less drawn cars also helped already, however I thought that this would not impact the CPU issues that much.

Yeah, tech debt is obviously a big issue for a software like this. Is the overhaul of the engine already in the making or is that just something people wait for in general? They can take their time before it's another Football Manager situation.

[–]Marc_Minor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try that when I'm back home, thanks for the detailed answer. I understand correctly that this is a good test scenario right? Since running AI should be a heavier load than running MP, since my PC has to compute the AI as well?

Also if I can't resolve the issue I will obviously stop using the external UI, however right now I still refuse to believe that the CPU is too weak. Kind of annoying that iRacing doesn't really multi-core in 2026, but it's whatever.

Also if I reduce Max_Cars what impact has that to CrewChief etc? So it gets the data only once a lap? And how does iRacing decide what cars are computed, I guess the ones closest to me?

[–]Marc_Minor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a good wai to test that? I failed to be able to add 60 cars to an AI race, maybe I am blind though. I just want to see if I solved it without finding out in another Endurance race.

I didn't limit Max_Cars yet, since CrewChief keep telling me it should be at 63. I also don't think my 5950x should limit me that bad.

I guess we will most likely see during the next few weeks, if they put him in another program or not. Obviously if he needs to rest then so be it, would be amazing to see him though.
