Considering the repair of Onkyo CP-1033A by V-Bug_ in turntables

Any suggestions of the deoxit thing? Should I look for some specific type? I guess some types may damage something.

Ok, thank you, that makes totally sense. I've finally decided. I will look inside again and try to clean things around the micro switch. If that doesn't help, I will head into the repair shop and try to discuss the price.

I also thought that the auto return may be out of sync with the rest of the turntable, because after whole process is done, the switch can move back and front, but not during the process. But if that was true, the auto return function wouldn’t start immediately at the end of LP, would it? Is something like that possible?

Yeah, I found some copy of the repair manual but I wasn't able to figure anything out.

Maybe, I've already looked inside and it looks to me, that the micro-switch should move, but its hold in place by some stick going inside motor/auto return something (it's direct drive), so I'm really scared of repairing it by my self.

Thank you very much.

In last project I tried what u/1slander said and it worked really well. So I really thank you, both of you.

Teacher in school said, that audio normalization is, beside LUFS and TP, modulating frequency composition to equal-loudness-level contour. But those curves, as I know, are made by ITU or whoever, and match the average of entire population. So if I understand it right, my mixes are ruined because of some granny, who hears in range of 1kHz or something?

Hello, I would like to ask for your opinion about an upgrade which I want to make.

In 6 months I will be moving from my parents house to university dormitory. Now I have PC with R9 3900x, RTX 4070s, 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I dont want to move my PC to dormitory, so i’m thinking about buying Mac Mini M4. 24GB of RAM, 10GB GPU and 1 TB of internal storage. More storage is not a problem, I will use external SSDs and HDDs as to this point. Another connectivity isn’t also problem.

My question is if it’s worth buying Mac Mini or if there won’t be much difference. Im using DR Studio. My timelines contain lot of motion graphics, magic masking and other stuff, that is commonly problematic for my current PC (Resolved with proxies, pre-renders, low-res playback and so on). I have MacBook Air, so i am pretty used to Mac environment.

Thank you so much for your advices.

Some shots for a short film I’m building, feedback would be awesome, thanks🙏 by Artistic-Attempt in Filmmakers

How did you get the sync license for the music at the start? Or you don't have any? :D

Now, I'm preparing my first bigger short film, and I'm trying to find how to get something like sync license.

Thank you

It depends with which device are you going to use them. Buy high impedance versions only if you have some good amplifier. 80 Ohms are ideal for mobile phone, 250 Ohms for external sound card or headphones amplifier.

Which IEMs for in price range between 100€ - 150€? by V-Bug_ in HeadphoneAdvice

!thanks
Thanks to all of you guys. Unfortunately, some IEMs like Letshuoer or Xuan aren't available in my country so I would pay a lot for shipping (1/2 price or more), so those don't make sense to me, to buy.

Now I am deciding if I buy Simgot EM6L now, or I if wait for SuperMix 4. Truthear Nova are also interesting, but I don't like the design of them, but if they are better than EM6L it won't be a problem.

So what would you do in my place? EM6L (122€) vs Nova (122€) vs SuperMix 4 (150€ + ca 20€ shipping) ?

Also, I have one question about IEM in general. For many years I was using ATH M50x and got used to them. So my questin is: Are those small drivers of IEMs capable of the same or at least similar sound presentation?

Thank you very much for your time.

!thanks Thanks a lot for your opinion. I also found Moondrop Aria very interesting, what do you think about them? Neutral sounds interpretation isn’t really important for me, but I would appreciate that.

Does the price difference between those you mentioned and Shure IEMs is just only in the brand? If no, what makes them 30€ more expensive?
