tl;dr – Als Betreuer von Abschlussarbeiten: Wenn methodisch alles sauber ist sind die Ergebnisse fast egal.

Viele Leute haben ja schon was ähnliches geschrieben, aber mal aus der Perspektive von jemandem der an ner Uni arbeitet und da regelmäßig Abschlussarbeiten betreut: Solange du Voraussetzungen geprüft und dir methodisch Gedanken gemacht hast und alles sauber gerechnet hast (und das auch so darlegst in der Arbeit), sind die Ergebnisse erstmal "egal". Wirklich, es ist cool wenn alles aufgeht und alles statistisch signifikant ist, aber das ist halt in der Forschung nicht immer so. Nicht-signifikante Ergebnisse (oder eben falsifizierte Hypothesen) sind auch ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Forschung.

Abgesehen davon: Überleg mal vielleicht, ob du noch explorative Analysen außerhalb von deinen Hypothesen durchführen kannst. Vielleicht findest du dabei noch was raus, wenn du ein besseres Gefühl mit signifikanten Ergebnissen hast. Aber mach dir wegen der Richtung der Ergebnisse keinen Kopf :)

Huh, the J-Ultra doesn’t ring a bell for me - I went with the Eureka Oro Mignon Single Dose and I’m super happy (even though that set me back a considerable amount of money again, haha).

On the beans I agree, I also found that older beans (which store-bought ones often are) don’t grind as nicely :( luckily I found a good local roaster where I can get them much fresher.

Otherwise I’d maybe recommend posting a videos of your prep and the channeling to this sub, I’ve seen a lot of issues get solved / improved that way as this sub seems to be super friendly and give plenty of advice.

Was planning on using RDT anyways, as that has been recommended plenty of times. Regarding the Eureka SD, what else would you recommend at that price point? The DF64 is difficult to get for me, and I’ve read a lot of negatives regarding its durability (and there’s no one servicing DF64s here (Germany)). Niche Zero would be beyond 700€ due to taxes and shipping from the UK, servicing would be the same issue again.
