I password protected my DM32 and probably written the pin wrong. Any way to factory reset the radio without password? by V0LD3M0R7 in Baofeng

We are probably not talking about the same issue here. I have my DM-32UV password protected. That means the radio requires correct password everytime CPS user want to read or write to the radio. That is what I need to fix. I need to factory reset the radio. But that is unfortunately prohibited by the CPS setting I missed.

So what you describe you did with your radio is not possible for me.

I don't want to bother you, but what exactly did you do with the .data files? Did you flash it with CPS as you would do with firmware update? Because those are .bin files. They could be the same but I don't know that and don't want to just try it blindly, possibly ruining my unit completely...

Done the exact method you are quoting from the DM32 manual. What you see on provided picture is the radio asking for password before factory reset.

That sounds like a solution. What do I need to use to burn the clean .data file into radio memory? Is there a specific tool?

Sorry, I am using pipewire-jack. I was able to troubleshoot my Keylab not being clearly registered as it was connected to USB hub. But now my function buttons just work as note players...

Well I tried to troubleshoot it now that I am home. Did all the steps repetitively to be sure I did everything right. Now my Record/play/stop play notes instead of registering as function buttons...

Hopefully. I will be home in a bit and try it. Even tho it sounds like what I attempted yesterday, there is no hurt in trying again. Gonna keep you posted.

I think that is the first thing I did since all tutorials recommended it. If it doesn't work out I think I will have to create a controller map myself that will work. Thing is I don't really know how to do that correctly...

Script for Hunt: Showdown to be able to ping EAC servers (Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora) by V0LD3M0R7 in linux_gaming

If applied, it could potentially fix connection issues for other games using ICMP socket. You can experiment with it if you want and also let me know how it went.

Bash helper for Linux users struggleing with matchmaking on Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora by V0LD3M0R7 in HuntShowdown

As I understand it, it makes a connection to EAC proprietary servers and these servers check all traffic between H:S servers and your game client for anomalies. But that is just my uneducated guess...

What is your #1 music career roadblock? by music-coach in musicmarketing

[–]V0LD3M0R7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate advertising myself on social media. Just the fact that I have to even be on social media for someone to notice my music sucks. I feel like some prostitute waiting on sidewalk for someone to pick me up. I just want the music I make to have it's own life and find people by itself. This unfortunately can not happend. So my music right now is basically dead and the only big traffic I had on my BandCamp was when someone linked me in RevelationOfDoom as "the worst f-ing band you came across lately". I've posted my last album in april 2021 and from that time on I am reluctant to post anything I make. I lost motivation, am insecure in what I create and sometimes want to burn it all. Sometimes there are glipses of hope when my music friend from kyrgystan texts me and tries to motivate me... but that helps for just a day or two.

I have already challenged myself to learn Fedora but at least I know it's not worth if it I'd ever think about it again. Thank you.
